You have no doubt seen those adverts in the magazines and newspapers offering you ringtones, wallpapers and games which can be quite costly. Well why pay! - if you have a computer (which if your reading this you must have) then all you need is either Bluetooth or the USB cable that most phones come with.

I found this site on a search for free ringtones, it's a mobile phone sharing site which allows you to upload as well as download anything from ringtones, sounds, themes, wallpapers, videos, software etc - the latest stats show almost 600,000 free downloads on the site.

You simply select the gallery tab on the home page, enter your phone and then what your after (ringtone, wallpaper etc) then a list loads up - several pages worth. You have the option to then filter to help find what you want, and can even search by typing a keyword in. From 80's TV tunes to modern chart songs and more.

Once you've found what you're looking for you simply click download, and then a new screen loads up allowing you to hear a preview of the download. This is useful as some are better quality than others depending on who's uploaded them. You also get some information on the download such as file type (generally mp3 for ringtones), popularity ratings, and members also write opinions etc. A large download button on the right then takes you to a download screen which has a countdown time typically you have to wait around 10seconds before the file is ready to download. If you register as a member (which is free) you have no waiting time. A pop up download box comes up and then you just select the place you want the file saved. Once saved on your computer you simple send to your phone.

Is it a good site?
The site has been updated recently I guess due to popularity, whilst it's the same process to download items I have noticed that on occasions the download screen doesn't appear, and so you have to hit back on your browser and try again, and sometimes a few times. Not sure the reason for this maybe the website is too busy and can't meet demand; the old site didn't have this glitch which makes me think it's a demand problem on the website server.

It is however FREE after all and so this is just a minor inconvenience and doesn't happen all the time. The downloads work fine and I've had no problems with them.
