Introduction Monster has been on the internet for a few years now its main purpose is to help its members get a job. It was at its peak 2 years back but now it has lost its touch. The purpose of the site is to register your CV put some information about your self on the site so recruiters on the site can get some idea of who are you and contact you. Its all about putting your CV up live so employers can look through and maybe choose you for a job but its no longer like that any more. I first registered my CV on monster over 3 years ago. As a result I have received many calls from recruiters, attended many interviews and received one part time job. Overall I have found monster to have some use in the sense that one can simply register a CV and then be approached by a recruitment agency. In the early days I received many phone calls; however this was at a time after having recently graduated. This year I haven't been contacted once by a recruiter despite updating my CV and personal information. There are many recruiters who are a bit rude though. They call you, ask you if you can make it to an interview, if you show any ...  Read the complete review

I have been looking for a job for quite a while (fortunately got one), but to my surprise almost never got any response or feedback from using Monster.. It looks great and promising with hundreds of jobs fitting even your personalised criteria.. But some of them really look not trustworthly to me.. For example, there was a post for a Russian speaking secretary or something like that in London.. Monster does not show the number of applicants who applied for this position, but some other recruiting pages do. Not going to mention but another site which is way smaller than Monster showed there were 88 candidates who applied for this add.. So with healthy math you would ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to job hunting on the Internet try your luck with Monster.co.uk. The reason for that is they claim to have a lot of jobs available from employers and not agencies! This is actually not so true as I have seen many agencies on the website looking to get employee's. Using Monster.co.uk is simple you need to upload your CV on the website to have a big chance of landing work through with the website. With Monster.co.uk they have jobs available at odd times now. In my local area of Blackburn jobs are added weekly more then daily now. So lets say if you are looking for a job in admin expect 3 new ones weekly.Other features of the website include a ...  Read the complete review

As some of you may know, I decided to make a huge lifestyle change and move from London back to Portsmouth. I have lived here for four years but I can say now that I have never really loved it, it is true to say that London can be a very lonely place! I have my boyfriend who keeps me company obviously, but slowly my friends who live here have left and I find most of my weekends sitting on my own (watching waaaay too many boxsets!!) when the boyfriend is on duty. Aside from my job which I do love, there is nothing keeping me here. Three weeks ago I gave up my job without anything to go to - a big no-no to some people but it was the right thing to do, I ...  Read the complete review
