Moonfruit is possibly the greatest online web design company available in my experience, and puts the original free website making tools to absoloute shame. It is in a totally different league to say freewebs in terms of the range of features, and the quality of the overall finished product and I would highly recommend it as a site builder, even if you are looking at developing a very professional website. The generous two week free trial gives you plenty of time to decide whether or not you like the product and it is relatively easy to register a domain name, and add it to the website.

Moonfruit allows the user to create a flash website. This means that you can add allsorts of cool animations and flash text, and you can graphically create a very aesthetically pleasing website, as long as you take some time to familiarise yourself with all of the things you can add from the moonfruit catalogue. It's easy to upload images and store them in a folder until you find that perfect place to stick them in, and page lengths, bodies of text, background colours and titles are also not a problem.

In addition, when you first register to build a website, there are a selection of templates which you can use and play with as a basis, or you can start with a blank page and build the website entirely from scratch. You have two weeks to decide where you would then like to proceed. You can either pay for your site, I think the basic package is about £4 a month, or you can pay for a years subscription in one go. You can also go "free with adverts" whereby the website is hosted for free, but down the sides are google adsense type adverts. even the free package still leads to a potentially high quality site, with no uncontrollable pop up ads, and usually relevant advertisement links.

I think that the guys at Moonfruit are on to a gem with thier web building concept, anyone can do it, and you wouldn't actually know the difference between moonfruit and dreamweaver if you spend enough time in the graphical creation. The pricing is very competitive, the site is secure, and you can easily hook up the website to a domain name you have purchased - great stuff!
