Advantages: good variety of products, good search engine, can use discount vouchers
Disadvantages: delivery charge if spend less than £100, can't try before you buy
At the end of my pregnancy while I was doing the inevitable last minute buying it was easier to buy everything that I wanted to get from mothercare by using their website rather than trek all the way into Cardiff.
It's divided into categories making looking for what you are after easy. If you can't find it there is always the search function.
There is a huge variety on the website even more than is available in the stores and you can even read reviews if they are available. The pictures are nice and clear and can be made bigger if you want to see in more detail. There is also good information written about the product to give you an idea of what is is, how it is used etc..
I bought a boy colour pack of 15 bumgenius nappies among other things using the 10% discount voucher I had. To cut a long story short one of the nappies had the elastic on one of the legs fail after the first wash. I emailed customer services immediately and had a reply the next day asking me to take the nappy and order document to my nearest store. A bit of a pain I live about 20 miles from my nearest store but they wouldn't change it by me posting it back. I took it to the store and had a replacement ordered.
I have ordered several times since and products arrive promptly and in good condition. I have never had any problems with their customer service either. Smaller items are sent by regular post but larger items are delivered by courier (although this seems to vary!)
A good tip! Have a look on ukhotdeals.com for vouchers for free delivery or money off sometimes they are posted on there. Will save you a few pounds.
Summary: A good website, easy to use, good product choice, good customer service
