I have been with Mouthshut since April 3 of this year and have been asked to write a review on it so looked it up. I was surprised to find it listed as Mouthshut does not list dooyoo.

The site is based in India and probably three quarters of the writers are from there, but they are very friendly and helpful to anyone that joins and the community spirit is high.

The staff is among the best I have found and they answer e-mails right away. If you want to write on something that isn't already listed there is a feature called Mouth pad and you can suggest and it is up by the next day.

The ceo himself will leave comments on reviews and answer private e-mails and take phone calls.

They watch closely for abusers of the system such as people with multiple accounts or that copy others writings. When some one is caught even if it is abusing another member they are given one warning and if not heeded they are removed from the site and their name put up.

There are alot of categories to write in and their is an advice section which I enjoy. The article has to be 75 words or more.The ratings are highly recommended, recommended, somewhat recommended and not recommended.

Some write long reviews and other short and to the point.

You have a trust list just like most of the other sites. You can also send an e-mail from the sight to another member and leave comments.

For each article you write you get 5 points. Each time some one reads what you wrote you get 2 points and you get 1 point for each review you read of some one else's.

They have featured reviewers. I would guess at about 12 people that have made that so far. In order to make that you have to write often. get all highly's or recommended, comment on others writings and the next thing you know they make you a star writer.

They also have a hall of fame and in it are the 10most popular writers in order. This can change. At the pr
esetrn I am ranking number 4.

They also run contests to make more points. They pay out every 6 months you have been there and they go by rupees so I can't tell you yet how much that equals in American money but am anxious to find out and they do pay by check.
