This site covers every single aspect of the MP3 computer music scene. You need look no further than mp3.com for everything you ever wanted to know about MP3's - oh and you can get some music as well.

Where do I start? Well, I'll start with the tunes. I am actually a member of the mp3.com artist group, and I can tell you there are some very good people who put their music on to this site! Some of whom I'm sure will go on to bigger and better things in the future. Basically what we have here is a music "community" made up of various artists who need/want to get themselves heard. This site covers pretty much every musical genre that there is! If it's not here then it probably isn't worth listening to. This means that whatever kind of music you are looking for you are bound to find something to suit you.

The music costs nothing to download, but there is the option on most people's pages to purchase CD Albums and singles of their music professionally put together by mp3.com. So if you really like an artist's music you can save yourself hours of downloading and buy a CD for a few dollars. The music is easy to find and is put into charts so you can see who is doing well. These charts reflect how many people download and listen to the music. It is usually (not always the case) safe to assume that the better stuff will be at the top of the charts. However, it is worth a search lower down the charts as many great artists never get near the top and this is a severe injustice.

Ok, so what else is there on the site? Well there are sections dedicated to the laws surrounding the MP3 format. This is a very useful, interesting, and important read if you are downloading songs. You don't want to get caught with illegal music do you? As well as this there are sections for the software that you'll need to create and/or listen to the MP3 music. Here you will find plenty of software that has usually been reviewed a
nd rated so you can get the best for your needs. You can also set up an account where you can store your favourite MP3's. This is very useful if you like to listen to your music using different computers because all you have to do is log into your account and your music is available to you. So you can listen to your music at home or at work (if you're allowed), and basically anywhere where you have access.

All in all a very good, legal site for MP3 software, music, and legalities. The best thing about the music on mp3.com is that it's all original and not ripped off or simply recorded from a CD and posted on the Internet.
