You would expect a lot of bias to come from a site that was made by Disney but you’d be wrong. It painfully points out whether or not whether the news or reviews they cover indeed cover a Disney product. But even with this official kind of intrusion (hey, you even get it from EW....after all they’re owned by AOL-Time Warner), they do their job admirably and with few lavish sentiments towards their own paymasters. Mr Showbiz is an entertainment site. It covers a range of subjects, entertainment gossip and news, movie reviews, television, and music. The site is reasonably well laid out, and you can use a search engine to search the site if your not sure where to find something. The site does contain a lot of information, but quality wise I would rate it as average. Though this is mainly because I often don't like their movie reviews. First glances at this site are impressive, but I am afraid that the design of the site does not do it’s content justice. The recent reviews of films tell much of the plotline and characters, while actual opinions and viewpoints of the films are few and far between. For example, in the review of ‘Gladiator’ too much description is given of the characters and for many people, reading this would virtually eliminate the need to watch the movie. A rating out of five or ten would also not go amiss on this site, so that the reader has some indication as to the quality of the film.
