Basically MSN is everything you ever wanted a site to be.
There are 5 different categories, hotmail, web search, shopping, money central and people and chat.

First of all there is the hotmail. This is a great service where people can come on and chat to other people on a special site. There is an icon on the bottom of your screen, once you've joined and downloaded msn messenger. You give yourself a username and a password (you can put some special details in if you've forgotten your password so you can get in, which is great!) and log-in using the icon. Once in it's not a matter of clicking and typing, you must actually have other peoples msn email addresses which is your username. You must add these, which is very simple and then when they're on next you can click on their icon and start chatting. It is great when you have loads of people you know on the service as there's always someone on. You can change the font and type of your writing and even give yourself a user profile to give people a bit of info on you if they don't know you very well. You can even send messages to mobiles and phone people from the messenger. Awesome! The best thing about it is the service is absolutely free! The service is even updated every so often to be right up to date with the times.

Basically the search engine is pretty similar to other engines but the msn search engine is extremely fast and very precise. If you want something on the web you get it here! Not only is there a web search but the yellow pages and special links to sites supported by msn. This part of msn also give you the chance to search for web sites from foreign countries which is also excellent as i have a pen-pal in Sweden.

The shopping section on msn is also great. Being a large company msn can afford to have people search the web for the best buys, and it doesn't benefit them it benefits the users. In the shopping section there are a huge
range of categories which makes your search for the best deals and offers more specialised. Again this is very easy to use and i personally use this to search for things that i buy on the web.

Money Central is another great part of msn which is great to use for those annoying money matters.It gives the quotes on the markets, the FTSE and the DOW Jones etc. Of course this is very helpful if you are interested in money or have shares or stocks in companies. If you want to find out about them and get up to date news, you come here for it. It gives help and advice on mortgages, savings, insurance, tax, pensions and loans. This is well worth a look, why don't you try it out?

Last but not least is the people and chat section where you can come to msn to talk to random people over the world wide web. This service is similar to hotmail, however you don't have to be a member of msn to participate in the wonderful range of chat options. You can chat as a guest. There are again a huge range of topics to choose from including, romance, teens, entertainment, city chats, peers, lifestyles and much much more. Again, well worth a look.

MSN is a great site. There is so much to see and do. I'm on it all night. When you logon to the net all you have to do is logon to msn and if you want to talk to one of your friends you can but if not you can sign out again. The site has a huge range of things to do and i've only covered a few of the main ones.
