Mymovies.net is basically a site that has reviews on loads of movies. The reviews are all made by normal people, and are arranged into their own categories. I.e if you were looking for a new release, you would go to new release, and films that are not all that new, but are showing in the cinema would be found under ‘currently showing’. So its all pretty self explanatory. The reviews themselves seem to be quite helpful, but it does depend on the writer. You can also rate movies as to how watchable you thought they were to help other people decide if they should go and see it or not. I find this site delivers exactly what you would expect it to, being a movie fan. I actually look forward to the emails I receive each week from mymovies. With all the latest trailers, realistic movie reviews and gossip sent to me, what more do you need? It is a very easy to use site with a personal touch to it, it was definately designed with the user in mind. Cool MyMovies have relaunched their site. I had one issue with the old site (as you can see from my old opinion below) that it wasn't quite sexy enough. Well slap my thigh and call me charlie if they haven't gone and made the sexiest movie site in the world! There is even more great stuff now and a new broadband section which will launch in the Autumn Exciting stuff! But do you know the best thing? OK this site is a bit of both worlds. The information available is plentiful and easily accessed but the trailers section lets it down, each trailer is presented in a min theatre and this seems to detract from the trailer itself. Also the last time i checked the site didnt use quicktime, but this may have changed. A great idea for a site, but I feel sorry for any movie site makers as the IMDB surely rules all, still its worth a go (I tried one once) but this damned IMDB just puts you off.
