MyOffers is a competition website that uses the prospect of winning a competition to harvest people's personal contact details to try to sell them things. The way it works is that each competition is sponsored by several companies/ organisations/ charities. I saw My Offers on a website which says you can win competitions on here. So decided to become a member on the website. The registration process on here was long and also a joke.They ask so much details and also want you to complete other small offers in links with other websites. I gave my email address and phone number and did not expect junk of them as they said they would not pass it on to others.Started to sign up for some competitions for cash and vouchers. I am always finding new freebies or competition websites to sign up to and I have never won a thing, I think some of them are cons and do it just to get your details, I would actually like to know if people have won anything from these. Some of the surveys are pointless and you end up with junk email or about five or six big envelopes in the post giving you details on everything from holidays to kitchen people. The worst I think is when they ask for your telephone number and you get some idiot calling saying that you requested a brochure. The object of the site is for people to enter and have a chance of winning prizes. On the website they do offer alot of prizes that can be won. I have been part of the site for well over a year and i have entered hundreds of the offers and have still yet to win anything which is a shame. To be entered you are required to answer a few questions which are pretty basic questions such as who do you buy your gas from and do you wish to support oxfam and make a donation.
