Advantages: ipoints, ipoints and more ipoints
Disadvantages: slow to load
MyOffers is a competition site where you are entered into monthly prize draws for filling in small surveys. The surveys only take a minute or less to fill in, and are generally questions about where you shop aned what you buy online. If you collect Ipoints then you should join up to this site as you get 5 ipoints for registering and filling in a small survey, you also get a further 1 ipoint for every prize draw you enter. All points are transfered to your ipoints account the following Friday. The site is a little slow to load, but once it`s loaded it is very easy to navigate your way around. Everything is well laid out and can be got to from the home page. There are 8 prize draw categories to enter. In each category you will find all the draws laid out as big boxes with the prize on offer clearly printed inside. You know instantly if you have already completed an entry because there will be a tick inside the box. If you haven`t completed an entry before, you just click on the box and fill in the small survey. Once you have submitted your entry, it comes up on the screen that you have just earned another ipoint. The categories are as follows:- CASH: There are normal cash prizes or charity prizes, where whatever you win, the same amount is also donated to a certain charity. Oxfam and Save the children are just 2 of the chosen charities. TRAVEL: Most of the prizes here are holidays and weekend breaks. ELECTRONIC: This includes such prizes as computers, DVD players and camcorders. LIFESTYLE: Here you will find prizes like books, vouchers and free health screening. LUXURY: There are DVD`s, a car and a slendertone on offer here. ADVENTURE: These prizes are a little different. There`s a champagne balloon flight and a day out at Thorpe Park. As well as these 6 categories, there is the platinum prize section. This has holiday prizes that are of higher value than othe
r prizes on offer. There is also Sports Car Bonanza. This draw has 6 parts to it, and you must complete all 6 to be entered. These prizes are based on what`s on offer this month and I haven`t included every single one. A lot of the prizes offered change each month after the draw has taken place. There are a couple of draws where you have to do more than complete a survey to be entered. These include one for an AIWA stereo, here you have to sign up to Line One to be entered. The other one was for a choice between a Dyson and a microwave. Here you had to change your gas and electricity providers to be entered. All the winners from each month are listed on another page. There is also a New Prize page that just lists the latest competitions to make things a little easier. If you enter prizes regularly at MyOffers then it`s worth signing up for the early bird prize alert. MyOffers wil then send you an email when there are new prizes and offers on the site. Each draw takes place on the first weekday of every month. There is also the MyOffers Grand Prix which gives you a chance to earn a free gift. On certain surveys you will find a chequered flag, once you have completed 15 flagged surveys you can choose from a mousemat, baseball cap or 10 ipoints. Most people seem to opt for the ipoints on this. This ends on 31st October though so if you still have some flags to collect then you need to be quick. MyOffers also has a pontoon game available. You can either build your own league or just join the MyOffers pontoon league. To be able to play you need to earn credits. Whenever you have completed 5 prize draws you are automatically awarded 10 credits. One credit lets you play one game of pontoon. All scores are entered onto a league table, when you win you gain extra marks, when you lose, marks are then deducted from your total. Each member of the MyOffers league is entered into a further monthly draw to win £100 worth o
f DVD`s. All in all there is usually around 40 prize draws available to enter, and it`s worth doing them just to gain your extra ipoints, and if you do happen to win then it`s a bonus.

- 18/10/01 I'm a member of both MyOffers and Ipoints, and never realised about the affiliation between the two. I've entered most of the comps on the site at the moment, so have probably lost out on a lot. Alan |
