Advantages: FTSE 100 company, Ease of redemption, Nice interface
Disadvantages: Redemption time limit
This is one of those get rich slow schemes that have the advantage of being backed by a FTSE 100 company (so they will pay out). There are three ways of making money at present. You may take surveys (oh yes? I can here you say). There was only one survey available on any of my visits and this was by Mypoints itself. I have a feeling that Mypoints is looking for companies that are fairly stable and likely to deliver on there promises, and so when there are more surveys then we can be sure of being paid. Personaly, I would prefer a site to make few promises (as mypoints do) than a site that breaks promises. The second way of earning is receiving emails. The mails do arrive and I am being paid for them (after a time lag) so I am quite happy with this so far. We may also be paid for shopping (of cource). If you link to the great universal shopping site you will receive mypoints on your shopping. No other group of shoppers receive anything.) But what is the catch? The points have an expity date, and the scheme is not yet as big as the US one. This puts us at risk of loseing them. Having said this I never really believe anything the web promises me until it is my hand.
