Advantages: Almost everyone is on there ! fun, plenty of features, keep in touch with friends !

Disadvantages: You could waste your life in front of the computer checking your myspace !

Okay.. so what is it?

www.myspace.com - A social network website, where you create your own personal "space", add friends, add music, blog about anything you want, keep your friends informed of what your doing via bulletins and invite everyone on your friends list to events.

And how much will it cost me?

Zero, zilch, nothing nada. FREE! I managed to find more people on here than on friendsreunited where you have to pay if you want to contact your old friends. pah!

What features are there available?

You get your own "space", a profile, where you can tell everyone about yourself, add your own pictures, add music, keep a blog, leave comments and be left comments and create a friends network when your mutually add people.

You can block anyone you don't want to be in your friend's network!

If you want to, you can make your profile private, so that only people you add can view it!

You have your own url www.myspace.com/whateveryouchoose

Your blog gets it's own url http://blog.myspace.com/whateveryouchoose
Similar to livejournal you can add posts, keep them private, or available only to friends, add smilies, add what you are currently reading, listening to, playing or watching.

You get your own mail system, and you can send and receive messages to and from anyone of myspace, regardless of whether or not you are on each others friends lists.

You also have the ability to join groups from interests such as photography to neighbours. If you don't find the group your after.. you could always make your own!

So is there anything wrong with myspace?

Well of couse there is! Nothing is perfect you know! But here are a few niggles I have! My internet security will not allow me to log in to myspace, so I have to disable it before hand! tsk! Although many people don't have this problem, it could happen, so be aware!

There are occasional errors on the site, with certain features going down from time to time. Instant messaging has been down ever since I joined!

Myspace whores - they scoure the internet for "whore trains" (devices that will get them millions of friends as fast as possible!) and seem determined to get as many "friends" as is humanly possible! The point? God only knows! But they are around and they are annoying!

As with any internet site where you can communicate you have to watch out for the strange ones who lurk. Never give out your personal details to people on the internet. You know the drill! Stick to it though, there are nasty people out there!

One of the main things you have to watch out for is that you might find yourself getting a little addicted. Checking every 10 minutes to see if you have new mail, or new comments, or does someone want to add you as a friend?

Generally it's great fun, and as long as you stay safe while online, it's all good. Just watch out or you could get hooked!!
