Advantages: easy to use

Disadvantages: not as popular now.

Myspace.com is basically a social networking site. It was round before facebook and I have used it for about 3-4 years now.

It is not as popular as it used to be now due to Facebook taking over the world, but I do still use it as some friends still use it etc. It works the same as facebook, you accept friend requests from people you know or even people you dont know if you really want to. These people can then see your profile (unless you set the settings so that everyone could see it anyway, which is not wise).

Profiles:
Over the years it has been possible to chnge and amend these how yu like, but all dependant on how much HMTL codes you know. Failing that, good 'myspace layouts' and you are able to use a premde one if you wanted. I prefered to keep mine simple and used the normal layout and just edit the bits out I didnt want people to see like my comments etc. On your profile you can upload as may photos as you like.

Friends:
There is an unlimited amount of these you can add to keep in contact with. Its best to only accept people you actually know however else it gets clogged up on the bullitin boards etc. There are also options to delete friends if need be. Thouh I should warn you that occsionally, some 'unknown friends' are actually virus's and can hack your myspace.

Bullitins:
Everyone on myspace has abullitin board where you can click on them to see what friends have written, these are usually rants about certain people or to brag about what your doing (or at least thats what it seems to be). These are updated almost instantly. You can also write your own by using the 'write bullitin' option.

Basically its very much the same as Facebook now as its lost a lot of members and is trying to act like it, but its just not the same. I think its just the Americans mainly using it now. Either way I feel its lost its fun side and feel I should delete it soon.
