Advantages: 250 points
Disadvantages: Barely anymore points after the start-up bonus!
It seems I must be in the minority (looking at some reviews and dooyoo stars other dooyoo'ers have given this survey site) but I am closing my account with MyVoice so felt I should write my review, then leave them be.
To sign up - should you wish to, it is relatively easy as with most of these sites. Visit their website: www.myvoice.co.uk, click on 'new members register here' (on the left), enter details and an account is created. All quite simple and straight forward. Upon joining, they credit your account with 250 points.
The idea behind sites like these is to complete surveys for some sort of remuneration (points or ££s) until a cash-out threshold is reached. MyVoice use a points system, setting their threshold at 2000 points (equates to £20 Voucher).
I have been a member of MyVoice for around 8 months - within this time I've completed seven surveys (I know this because I double checked before cancelling!).
I've never been screened out of surveys - which is good, and they weren't too long. The expiry date on the surveys has never expired on me as such (they usually have a closing date).
Even so, two of these surveys were worth 5 points each, one was worth 20, another two 10 points each and two were worth nothing (!) - meaning that even with the 250 points for signing up - I just about reached 300 points in total!! In comparison, other survey sites have sent me various products to test, vouchers, and paid out using either cash or paypal (I've been a member of these for a similar or shorter duration).
In comparison to the other sites I joined, I've barely received any surveys, and the ones I did received were worth very little.
I understand a degree of patience is required with these sites - and I do not rely on them for money. I like testing products and expressing my opinion, and if I get rewarded for it - so much the better (!) but I do think regular surveys help build a relationship with a site, and allow points to accumulate (even if this is gradual!) What I cannot stand is when I'm not receiving anything because then I may as well not be a member!!
I did log in occasionally to check whether I had surveys pending but there never were, so either I don't match their survey profiles or there is a glitch in their system because I get plenty of invitations from many other sites... Even so, I'm sure they must be great for others so is probably worth a trial run - if you want to unsubscribe then it's just a click of a button (and a quick explanation) away... (",)
Summary: Perhaps a winner for others, but unfortunately not for me. I hope others have more luck (",)
