Advantages: £20 voucher, polls quick easy and fun to do

Disadvantages: takes a long time to get enough points fora voucher

My voice is an opinion poll site, which basically means you get the chance have your say on a wide variety of subjects and be rewarded with My Voice points. When you get to 2000 points you can exchange them for a high street or online voucher worth £20.The vouchers available are Amazon Marks and Spencer, Boots, Dixons, Virgin Megastore, WH Smith, Tesco, Sainsburys, Choice Vouchers (Valid in Woolworth's Argos HMV Mothercare BHS, JJB Sports and H, Samuels) and Leisure Vouchers valid in Pizza hut TGI Fridays, Threshers Victoria Wine Shops, Marriott Hotels and David Lloyd centres. They do plan to add more choices and invite you to contact them with suggestions for any you?d like to able to claim.

I joined in August last year after reading Barry Topliss' opinion here on DooYoo. I went straight to the site and registered, which was very quick and easy and was soon earning points for answering a few simple questions, not brain surgery or rocket science, (good job too) just multiple-choice answers about my views.

In the beginning the polls would be worth 20- 25 points and they built up quite quickly, plus you are given 100 just for registering. A few of them weren't worth any points at all but those were just one question like "How happy are you today?" You'd get an entry into a monthly prize draw for chance to win £1000, sometimes there are holidays to be won and even a car. I know monthly draws sound rubbish sometimes, but I do know of one Dooyooer who has won £200(sadly it wasn't me). Just lately most of the polls are worth about 10 points each but you do sometime get extra ones to do via email invitation and these have been worth 50 points a time. I've had 6 polls to do this way, but Hamish, my partner who is also a member has only had 2.

It seems like a long time to wait to get a £20 voucher, like I said earlier I joined on August 16th 2001 and 8 months later I finally had enough to claim my voucher. That bei
ng said, although I have completed over 140 polls, each one only takes a couple of minutes to complete tops, most take less than that so it really is like money for nothing. They are fun to do and you can see the results of the poll as soon as you have completed each one. You do need to log in daily though as some polls are taken off site quite quickly and you lose the chance to get your points and prize draw entries. I make a point of checking every day for new ones.

Hamish joined a couple of weeks after me still has 107 points to collect before he can claim his voucher but I couldn't wait any longer and decided to cash mine in just to see if they really do pay. When I claimed it on 16th April they said it would take 7 working days to be delivered, but I was surprised to find it in my mailbox just 2 days later! I claimed a Choice Voucher and this gives me the option of using it to pay for goods from over 30 different shops and as it doesn't have an expiry date I think I'll wait until Hamish get hisvoucher. £40 is better than £20 after all! The only problem is now where and what to spend it on!

So Barry if you are still out there thanks for pointing me in the right direction and if any of you are nearing the magic 2000 points don't worry you will get your voucher. I've got mine and I've already started collecting for the next one!

He used to be a bit of a churner round here but I don't think he's here anymore. I can't find any of his ops, but he was the first to find out about myvoice.

I like this site, too - I must have joined at roughly the same time as you, but I didn't realise for ages that I had to keep going back to check for new surveys, so I've still got a little bit to go before I can claim! Good op :)

Good summary there - I'm only a couple of quid, so I'm not expecting to get too rich from it, but I think the polls are fun enough. I think I probably prefer yougov.com though...
