Couldnt believe the range of songs (napster.com)

Advantages: Loads of types of music

Disadvantages: Counting on those who you're downloading off, time consuming

After hearing about 'downloading' off the net i decided to have a go.Whilst round at my student mate's house i noticed he had a load of newly and oldly released songs on a kind of database.So naturally i asked where he got this from...NAPSTER.COM.
So i went on to napster.com at home and downloaded the software needed to download the songs.
It took about 10 or so minutes and then you got your own personalised database.(its the only way i can describe it).
So you go to 'search' and type in the song any song that you want to download.
I typed in my favourites a list appeared with 100's of the same song so you pick who you want to download off and got to the transfer page to see how your 'downloads' coming on. After downloading a few you build up whats called a library and can listen to all the music offline. The downside is that if you are downloading off somebody and they go offline you can't download the whole song and are left with the end missing.Bit of a downside but hey beats going to HMV all the time!!!
