Cant get Napster? Get Audiogalaxy! (napster.com)

I would absolutely LOVE to use Napster on my computer but because I'm on my university network theres a firewall and it wont let any of us poor students use it! Internet services providing us with a very broad range of styles help us to form our own opinions on the music industry. And having MP3s mean that we can have hundreds of different tracks and save our student loans on other more important things such as say BEER! So what do we do?

Well one of my fantastic m8tes recommended a website/programme called "Audiogalaxy". So I typed in - www.audiogalaxy.co.uk and downloaded their "satellite" programme. You can use this with network firewalls etc and in my opinion it is better than Napster, you type a random band or song title in and 9 times outa 10 you can get it! It works on the same user share scheme as Napster but its a lot safer! You get alot more privacy as users dont know if you're online or not and they cant see the files that you already have on your hardrive!

You dont get the dreaded "transfer error" sign and tracks are usually always readily available from online users and if they switch off you havnt wasted all that time cus it'l still get downloaded! If u switch off you havnt wasted your own time either cus it finishes downloading as you switch back on.

Although Audiogalaxy doesnt offer chat-rooms etc you are able to share opinions etc onsite and you can make your own profile up and write a bit about yourself for other peeps to read and also leave messages for you on your "notice board". You can also find out the latest news on whats going on in the music industry, reviews on latest singles and get tracks(and remixes) WEEKS before their release date!

So if Napster does eventually go theres always Audiogalaxy. If you cant get Napster cus of Network firewalls etc and want free MP3s get Audiogalaxy.......you know it makes sense! lol
