I first saw Nectar on TV and decided to join which was a really good idea. If you shop at Sainsbury's you collect points on average one penny in the pound. Nectar send you a statement each month with your total points on it, along with details of bonus points. Nectar points is a loyalty scheme whereby you can accumulate points, which can then be exchanged for goods or services. Visit nectar.com for more details or to actually join. Often there are incentives for joining, such as free points, so its worth checking on-line first. Once you join you are issued with a card which you will need to show/be able to refer to when you make purchases from / or contact listed retailers. Examples of retailers/companies who are part of the nectar scheme include BP, Sainsburys, Brewers Fayre, Thompson local, Expedia, D&A Opticians, Beefeater, Ford and AA amongst others. When ever you shop at any of the retailers, ... Read the complete review

We decided to register our card online as soon as we got it. Turns out that was a very good decision. It meant that we got more points in less time simply by taking part in the welcome survey and bonus points offers. I also ordered a couple of christmas presents from amazon through the estores as that meant we benefitted from extra points. There is a large range of sites available at nectar.com and some offer double and triple points. If you're a nectar user already aiming to save for a specific treat then this site can give you a big boost and put you a lot closer to the treat. The site also points out what treats you can get with the points ... Read the complete review

Nectar is one of the best value loyalty card programmes available offering 0.5% cash back on Sainsbury's shopping. At Sainsbury's you get two points for each pound spent plus one point for each bag you reuse. When you have 500 points you can take £2.50 of your next purchase. Nectar points can also be earned with some online retailers and offline with other partners including BP. (online it is normaly better to use a cashback web site) It is possible to have a joint nectar account but this result in only receiving one set of money off coupons and one set of bonus points when you fill in surveys, so it is best to keep separate accounts. The Nectar card is a loyalty card scheme in the UK and is used by many suppliers. The one suppler that most people think of with the Nectar card is supermarket Sainsbury's, but it is also used by BP. It has been around since around 2002. Some people may not realise that when they are using the loyalty card it is giving the group a chance to track and trace what is bought and where by the user of the card. This helps the group gain information on what is being bought and where it is being bought. One concern over these cards is the fact that it means the company collects information about a person and that it could be used to obtain information about people and ... Read the complete review
