I have been going to new look for years and years now, since I was 11 I have been wearing their kids line of clothes. Now I am 16 and still visit new look often. I like their clothes because they are good quality, always in style and affordable. They have really nice and wide selection of shoes and boots, as well as jewelery and make up too! You are able to order from their online store or visit the shop. There are many new look shops around which is very convenient. When ever it is my birthday or Christmas and I receive presents I regularly receive New Look vouchers because my family's no friends know how much I love to shop there. New look is one of my favourite shops because pretty much everything in their is either in style, or timeless. You could pick up any outfit from there and would look amazing. The only issue is that sometimes in stores they don't have a wide selection of sizes available. I really like new looks onesies, pjs and slipper socks/ boots though. Their night wear is warm and cosy, especially in the winter. I recently went and bought and all fluffy pink onesie which keeps me so warm through out the winter nights. When it is friends birthdays I tend to go to new look to choose a gift for them. New look sell lots of little gifts and gifts sets for girls. Their socks are wuotes cheap and really good quality, this is where I always buy my socks and underwear.

**REVIEW - FROM MY EXPERIENCE**
I am a big fan of the New Look brand. It is a brand I have grown to trust over the years and it is always the first place I look for a new outfit/item. I am in my late teens, 5"10 (need tall clothing), a size 16/14, 32inch legs and have wide feet (need wide fit shoes) so I'm sure you can understand it isn't always easy for me to find clothes that fit every part of my body. New Look however unlike many clothing retailers cater for nearly everyone. For me they have a specific tall section where they sell clothing for women 5"7 and over. Also, they offer a small range of wide fit shoes for a reasonable price and sell clothing from sizes 8 - I believe 24 (in their plus size range). Likewise though they offer ranges for others. general ranges for normal sizing, a petite section, a male section and like I said a plus size range called Inspire.
Personally, I am much more of a New look online shopper than in store shopper. I find in their shops they often just sell the general clothing, shoes and accessories. Sometimes they offer a few wide fit shoes or their inspire ranges in the larger shops. But, online they sell all ranges. Each range is sectioned off on their website Newlook.com. The tall/petite ranges are in a small tab under their clothing section, plus size - inspire range is in a main section along side this as well as the male section. Under the Shoes tab at the bottom you can select to view wide fit shoes also. I find this allows me to navigate easily to what I want to view. You can also do a simple search of the website in general if say you were searching for a certain item. When searched it will tell you how many/what of that item they have in their different ranges in sections. For instance if you typed in black leggings it tells you: the general leggings they sell, the 915 children's/teens leggings they sell, the inspire leggings they sell and the tall leggings they sell. this makes it easy not to be confused with what you want.
In regards other aspects of their website they also newly so offer designer clothing. This is new as of the last year or so. They offer anything from Hudson and Rose -> addidas. I don't really get why they now do designer clothing as New Look to me screams more budget than catwalk. it could be to improve this view though I suppose. I have only seen designer items online never in store. They also offer a range of accessories (not talking jewellery, but they sell this too) from celebrity brands. For instance they offer Girls Aloud fake eyelashes or branded face masks. I don't really get why they sell this kind stuff either as that's what Superdrug is for but I suppose they much make profit from it or they wouldn't sell. I have bought a face mask from them before but nothing else like it.
On their site In product information they allow you to view a couple of images taken from different angles and give you a small amount of description. I am sometimes disappointed by this description. I want to know lengths of sleeves or legs and actual colours but they usually just state how/when to wear the item. I do complete numerous surveys for their "new look panel" website and have mentioned this a few times but it has never changed. I am pleased though they have started this new thing by naming the rise of trousers in the name as they didn't do this before. In the past ive purchased some skinny jeans assuming they are low rise and being surprised with super high rise jeans.
I am a big fan though of the way they post your items and allow you to track. For £3.95 standard delivery they send your items in a plastic new look bag and the items come in their own bags. I love knowing I am the only person who has ever worn the item. it makes it fell very new and fresh. They send out with a sheet telling you what you bought and how much you paid. Much like a typical invoice. However if your unhappy they offer easy send back service for free. You peel of the sticker they send you on your invoice and stick in to the bag with unwanted items in. You can then either arrange a pick up online or take it to your nearest click and collect + point. these are often post offices, garages or local shops. My local one is a petrol garage around the corner from my home. I know other online retailers such as Amazon now offer this. it is a newer service but so easy. You just take the package in and the staff type in the barcode on the sticker and you put the item in a lock compartments by the store to be picked up. Well mine do anyway. For £3.95 to deliver and possibly pick up I don't think this is too bad. Likewise you can pay I think £4.95 for next day delivery.
I live in the Uk so I pay £3.95 for delivery but I know they will send internationally if you need that. In terms of delivery they are always efficient. They often send with Yodel or some similar postal service dependant on where you are. However, I will moan for a little bit about new Look during the Olympics. I live nowhere near London so I would have expected my deliveries during July 2014 to come as per usual. However, my delivery was late and the reasoning for this was the Olympics. I completely appreciate that there was a lot of commotion during this time but I am in Bristol 3 hours from London so I don't really understand what happened then. maybe they were just super busy but that was something that niggled me a little bit. They should send items from several warehouses not say one. I did receive order in the end there though and my items were great so I can't complain there
I often purchase from new look at sale times. I browse throughout the year and find what I like and then when cheaper I buy. Most new look items throughout the year are reasonable in price. The most I've ever payed for an item was £27.99 and that was a knitted jumper. On average jeans are around £20-£25, tops are around £15 and leggings are under £10. Shoes however really vary. Some can be only £7 others over £30. I will buy full priced items but when I know they reduce everything at least twice a year I would rather buy then and save a few bob - like many would. I do however have a student NUS card so receive 10% off year round which is good. Would love more off but 10% is good!
At Xmas time my family usually get me a new look giftcard. This can be redeemed in store or online. I usually use online. At the checkout you can choose to pay with either credit/debit card, paypal or giftcard. You simply type in the 12 digit code and they tell you how much you have on your card. You can spend it all or a small amount. During the year you can top up your card for personal usage if you are someone who allocated money for clothing it is a great idea. Alternatively, you can pay certain amounts with different methods. I often combine with paypal. With paypal they save you details but likewise new look do aswel if you have an account with them.
In terms of the actual clothing ( the best bit) I am always thrilled. The items are always of a great quality. I rarely have to throw away their clothing due to breakages. It really lasts. Also for me they sell me clothing in the right proportions to my body. I am a big fan of their tall section, not as much their wide fit though. As a taller women I don't really wear heels. I don't need anymore height. Although, many wide fit shoe options are heeled. They do though sell nice flat sandals in the summer but boots/smart shoes tend to be heeled. Due to this I tend to go more for simply be shoes. But the shoes I do have from their range is of a good quality just not the right style for me personally.
I do always have a small moan at one aspect of their clothing however. They update their general clothing at least once a week and add new lines. With their tall section though updates are far and few between and they don't offer much of the general clothing in tall. They have completely different items which is a shame. I always love some of their general tshirts but they are not long enough to cover me. I was also really upset for a while in 2012. They stopped selling their tall range and when I emailed the company they said it wasn't popular enough. I was a little confused though as they brought it back in early 2013 but regardless im a happy bunny again now!
overall, I have moaned a lot in here (without realising) I didn't really think about much they have niggled me before. But regardless their service and products are great and I always turn the New Look first. I love their clothing it is always good quality and fashionable and comes in a good prices. I have had a few issues with them but havn't we all with certain places. overall I will rate them a 4/5. I love their products but have has issues before so knocking them down 1.

I've always shopped at new look and never had problems with them or the staff. I recently ordered maternity clothes online as i found all of a sudden i didnt fit into mine anymore, New look maternity clothes are really good value and nice quality, and as i was 32 weeks didnt want to over psend on something i wouldnt be in for much longer. My order came to over £50.00 and i ordered it for next day delivery as i was going away 5 days later, and needed clothes. Next day delivery was £6.99. Next day came and all i recieved was a ring, which was £2.50.....Out of allt he things i ordered, this was what i needed the least!! I rang customer services and she apologized and said it should be with me by the next day and refunded my £6.00. Fair enough. Online tracking said that all the items were delivered.
By the third day of no clothing still, I rang again and explained that i was pregnant and these clothes were needed, i was going away the next day for 2 weeks, again, they apologized and said it would be with me the next day.
Im back from my holiday, no clothes, and had to spend another £60.00 on maternity clothes in new look as the sale had ended, as i had no clothes for my holiday. Im fuming!!! theyve got £110.00 out of me in 3 weeks for a £50.00 order.
I personally think my baby will be here before the clothes are!!!
I'm all about convenience. I like to go online for my shopping & then wait like a kid at Christmas for my goodies to be delivered! Newlook.co.uk is usually my first stop for a look around as I enjoy going into their stores to have a look at their latest trends & also find the staff cheerful and friendly. So since they'd made such a great impression on me in store I thought "what the heck?" & began browsing their website.
The website itself is pretty easy to work out, everything is clearly sorted into categories & you can choose sections of clothing that you can browse through unlike in store where you have to walk around to have a good look. When browsing there is also an option to organise your search results such as price (lowest to highest) & which items are more popular.
After choosing my items (a few basic vest tops and some black skinny jeans) I proceeded to the check out where I could easily enter the appropriate details needed to deliver the items straight to my door. I also noted that there is an option to register to newlook.co.uk but it's not essential which I liked, as I hate shopping online & browsing items for a while to find that I have to go through the annoying process of registering just to get to the check out. During the check out process I selected 'Next Day Delivery' for £4.95 and beforehand I checked their policy on this which stated that on a Sunday you can qualify for next day delivery if you order before 6pm, so to ensure I done this in plenty of time I ordered my items at 2pm.
After I ordered and paid for my items I received all the appropriate confirmation emails to assure me that my items would be delivered the very next day which I was happy about until the next morning.
I awoke to check my emails from newlook.co.uk and I was notified that my items had been dispatched and would definitely be delivered on Monday. I was given the option to track my items, and when I did I found that my items had not been received by the couriers therefore they were not going to be delivered on that day. At around 2pm I decided to phone newlook on their customer service number to ask about my delivery and the customer adviser hit me with excuses such as "the couriers don't update their website", "you haven't waited long enough yet" and "because you ordered the items on a Sunday you'll receive them on Tuesday" and just basically dodging all responsibility. I enquired about the courier service and asked if I could contact them to be told that 'they wouldn't want to speak to me because I'm a new look customer'. I ignored this and phoned the courier company to be told that they had not infact received the items and couldn't deliver them. By this time I was absolutely furious that it was 6pm and I had not received the items I waited in the house all day for and called newlook back. I was eventually refunded the delivery charge and promised that my items would arrive the following day.
Overall the experience was a total nightmare. I felt completely in the dark and was made to feel like a nuisance by the customer service staff for asking about a service I paid for that hadn't been carried out. I don't think I'll be shopping with them in a hurry.
~ THE MAIN PAGE/HOME PAGE~
As soon as you go onto the New Look page you will notice the current offers or new products. Currently they have maxi dresses which are shown on the main page as well as a new range of clothing which includes Kelly Brook's range of clothing. If you scroll down you will find other offers, for example 20% off all footwear and swimwear. These offers change, so it's a good idea to look as these vary every time you visit the website. The main page is often always bright and colourful with products that catch your eyes. Along the top are a few options in order for you to shop easier. You can choose to browse in the New In, Woman's, Shoe Gallery, Maternity, Men's, Teens, Brands, NL Daily and offers. All of these options will bring up the clothing and accessories available in different orders. On the top right hand side is your shopping bag and here it will tell you what items you already have in there and the price. For a more detailed view of what is in your shopping bag, simply click on it to bring it up. You can also sign in to you account if you have one and track any recent orders that you have placed. On the very bottom of the home-page is Customer Care information, Delivery & Returns, Cards & Discounts and Company information. You also choose whether to follow New Look on facebook or Twitter. The main page/layout is quite attractive using new in items of clothing on the main page which are bright and colourful and some which have appeared in magazines.
~ SHOPPING OPTIONS ~
* New In - You can choose where to search for new products within clothing, brands, footwear accessories. You can also search for new items in the men and teens range too. Simply click on the item you want to look at, for example new clothes and this will bring up a range of clothes. You can then choose to search by category or size or colour.
* Woman's - You can choose to search by category in this section, which includes Shoes & boots, Clothing, Accessories, Brands, Our Ranges, Seasonal Trends, Collections & Sales. Once you have chosen the category to search in you can then search by occasion, size colour, style and price. This is really handy if you are looking for something in particular in a certain colour or what to spend a set amount on a new dress.
* Shoe Gallery - In this section you can choose what types of shoes or boots you want to look for. Once you have selected boots for example, you can then choose size, colour or style. This will limit the amount of results shown and can make finding something specific a lot easier.
* Maternity - This section includes all maternity clothing such as tops, jeans, dresses, trousers, skirts and more. They also have some branded items in this section and you can again search by colour or style in here.
* Men's - Although New Look are mainly known as selling ladies clothing they also sell a large range of men's clothing including trousers, tops, jackets, accessories and a section for seasonal trends. You can search this section in the exact same way as searching for ladies clothing.
* Teens - New Look stock a large range of teen's clothing which includes clothes, shoes and accessories. Although there may not be a huge choice to choose from you can decide what type of product you are looking for or you can just browse all the clothing.
* Brands - As well as selling New Look clothes, they also sell a range if branded clothes which includes Firetrap, Miss Sixty, Fiorelli and more. In this section you can also choose by category. These items are obviously pricier than the New Look branded items.
* NL Daily - In this section you can look up trends, view different looks and read blogs. This section is great for complete outfit ideas and I often find myself looking on here whenever I visit the New Look website. This does change frequently so it's worth looking at it every time you visit the New Look website.
* Offers - This includes all the current offers which are available on the website, this may include 3 for 2 on items, buy one get one half price, sale items and even more offers. It's always worth checking this section out how-ever you don't have to necessary check this section to see current offers as offers will come up when you are browsing items.
~ SHOPPING FOR ITEMS ~
I wanted to find a casual but nice looking dress so I choose the Woman's and selected dresses. All the dresses came up and I then refined the dresses by choosing day dresses. This made the selection of dresses less; how-ever there was still a good range to choose from. I browsed the pages of dresses and found one I liked so I clicked on it to find out some more information. When you click on the actual picture of the item this will take you to another screen where you can view the dress from 3-4 different angles and you can choose the size of the dress you need. It also tells you what the item is made from and whether it can be machine washed or not. If the colour comes in more than one colour you can select another colour and again view it from 4 different angles, which includes behind and in front. Simply click on the size you need and click add to bag. If you want more than one of an item you can also change the quantity button. The shopping was really easy and it was easy to find what I was looking for by refining the dresses into something that I was looking for. The more you refine the choices the fewer items there will be to view. In all of the categories it's easy to shop and select the items you are looking for. I also purchased a pair of wedges on here which was easy as I wanted wedges which were black but I wanted to spend £30 at the most. Using the options on the left hand side to refine the shoes meant that I could find the pair I wanted quickly.
~ SHOPPING BAG ~
When you have finished shopping, simply click on My Bag which is in the top right hand corner to see the items in your bag. Here you can delete items or change the quantities. You can also view the item again if you need to see what the item looks like. It will give you a total price of the items in your bag and then you can choose a delivery option. There are plenty of delivery options to choose from, and if you spend over £20 you can have the item delivered to your local New Look store for free. This is a really good idea as it means you don't have to pay any postage. If the item is under £20 you won't have the option to select the Click & Collect service at your local store. I have shopped on the New Look website a few times and have used both services, so I am going to write about both.
Click & Collect Service - After you have chosen the click and collect service you can then pay for the item securely, you can log in using existing details, create an account or use a guest checkout if you don't want to register with New Look. I am registered as I shop on here regularly so it's easier for me log in when placing orders. Here you need to enter you payment information and also choose the store where you want the item to be delivered to. Items should be at your local store within about 2-3 days of placing the order, but you will receive a confirmation e-mail when you do this. There are a number of payment methods which includes all credit/debit cards, paypal or if you have a New Look store card you can use this to pay. Once you have entered all the information you need to check everything accept the terms & conditions and then finally place the order. Once you have done this you will receive an e-mail confirming your order and all the order information and an estimated delivery date. About 3 days after receiving the confirmation e-mail I then received another one saying that the order was despatched and I could collect it from my local store the following day. I actually collected the order 2 days later as I couldn't get to the store before. They will hold you item there for at least 10 days, before the item will be sent back, and then I presume a refund will be applied to your card. I was really impressed with this service and it's brilliant as you don't have to pay postage costs either.
Delivery Service - After you have chosen the click and collect service you can then pay for the item securely, you can log in using existing details, create an account or use a guest checkout if you don't want to register with New Look. I am registered as I shop on here regularly so it's easier for me log in when placing orders. Here you need to enter you payment information and a delivery address. Once you have done this you need to accept the terms and conditions and then place the order. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with all your order details and another one a few days later when the item has been despatched. It took about 2-3 days for me to receive a despatch confirmation telling me that my order had been sent to me. On the e-mail it states on what day the item would be with me, which was handy as I knew whether to wait in for it or not.
~ REGISTERING ON THE WEBSITE ~
I am registered on the website which means I don't have to type my address in every-time I shop here as it's saved under my profile. I can also save payment details so I don't need to enter these every time either. This makes things more convenient for me so I save time by not having to enter this information every time I shop here. If you are a registered user you can also view and track any of your past and current orders. I would recommend that if you are a regular user of this website to register to make shopping easy and quick. I do often get e-mail from New Look, how-ever they are e-mails which tell you their current offers and promotions and I also got sent a discount voucher for my birthday which was really good, as it's valid for at least 1 month. It does have to be used online how-ever that's fine as I use their website regularly anyway.
~ RECEVING THE ITEM/RETURNS ~
Whether using the Click & Collect or Delivery Service option the items are packaged in the same way. Your item will come in a black strong bag which has New Look printed on it. It advises where to cut the bag open in case you need to packaging to send your item back. In the black strong bag will be your item which is then in a clear plastic bag. There is also an invoice in with the item which states all the information you need about your order and information if you need to send the item back. The shoes don't come in a box, so I do tend to check these in case they have any damage to them. The items obviously come with tags attached so it's easier to return the items if you need to. You can return any items you don't want to your nearest New Look store as long as you take the invoice with you. The refund will go back on the appropriate card you use. I have never had any problems when returning items to my local store so long as I have the invoice with it.
~ OVERALL OPINION ~
The design of the website is quite simple but attractive and it's easy to shop for items on here to select sizes or look for specific items. You can type in items in the search bar such as "Black Dress" and it will come up with the items with correspond to the search terms. I have ordered from here many times using both the delivery and click & collect service. I have never experiences any problems when using either of these services and the products I have received have been the correct ones. The website is great for looking at items which are web exclusive meaning they can't be found in any of the New Look stores. Items can easily be added and removed from your shopping bag. I have never had to contact customer services regarding any orders so I can't comment on this experience. The website has a fantastic range of clothes and accessories and is reasonably priced, and are even better priced when in current offers such as 2 for 1. I will continue to shop here regularly and I highly recommend it to others.

Looking for a maternity coat recently, I was surprised at how expensive they are secondhand, and also to note that a lot of those available were New Look brand. I'd never considered New Look for maternity clothes before, but I thought I'd check out the website.
Firstly, I was very impressed by the website itself. It was easy to find what I was looking for, both by searching directly and by menu browsing. When browsing, it's easy to narrow by size, price range, style and colour, and also to home in on special offers.
The next thing that impressed me was that the individual item pages have good photos from a variety of angles, and mark what size and height the model is. Height in particular is one thing I always wonder about, as I like to know how long an item will be on me, and this is a great visualisation.
So, having found an item, on sale, that I liked, I checked the size chart. It was buried in help, not linked from the page, but easy to read when I found it a few clicks later. The model was 1" taller than me, so I felt confident that I had a good idea how long the coat would be on me.
I placed my order, (with free shipping, but I think that's a special offer), paid with paypal - great for a first use of a site when you're not sure how secure it is - and waited. Instant email confiurmation with a tracking url, and 9am next working day I got an email telling me my order had dispatched. Having ordered on a saturday night, my order arrived on wednesday lunchtime.
As for the item, well it fits exactly as I expected, thanks to the informative website, it looks just like the pictures and it's easy to clean.
New Look is one of my, if not my main, favourite clothing stores. The one near me is fortunately of a good size and relatively accessible. Though I had long used the store itself and been happy, I had not yet used its online store.
However, I, being signed up to their e-newsletter, recently got an email telling me loads of new items had been put in the sale and that was encouragement enough as of course, there is always more variety online than instore.
So I went online and placed a large order recently.
The good points I noticed were that, as well as telling you what sizes are in stock, it gives an indication of which ones are running low, very helpful, if like me, you deliberate and um and ah and then you find it's sold out. Secondly, of course, the prices are low, this is the case even when there is no sale on as New Look is quite competitive. Thirdly the speed of delivery was excellent. My order was placed at 2am on Saturday morning and with me by Monday first thing. Impressive. Fourth, the returns process is very hassle free. Either go in to a store and do it there, or they run a free return programme via Collect Plus where you go and hand in the package at a particpating newsagent and they send it back on your behalf.
The bad points is that stuff sells out fast and also I wish that they would help you bulid each item into an outfit so if you are looking at a particular skirt, for example, they might suggest good tops to go with it and so on.
Will use this again no doubt.
Never have I felt as humiliated and embarrassed as I did on Tues,15th of February, 2011 at New look's Buchanan Street, Glasgow store.
I bought a baseball biker jumper on the 8th, washed it on the 10th and had the most horrible colour run. I took it back to the store, but I had lost the receipt, being an addict of shopping, I had bought too many things that same day from other stores.
The store manager interrogated me with a hostile and unfriendly voice like I was in court, asking me several questions about what till i bought it from, what time I came in exactly, my visa card number,e.t.c; as other customers looked on and giggled. They probably thought i brought in a stolen item.
I waited for over 15minutes and she claimed to she went to look for the receipt. I have been shopping in the UK as a visitor and as a resident for over 6years and NEVER have I experienced such a procedure for an EXCHANGE.
I however, waited patiently for her to return. When she returned, she said she had found the receipt and I asked her if she doubted that I bought the item there or she thought I stole it. She was going to do the exchange before but probably got annoyed by what I said. She asked me again "How did you wash it?". I told her I had washed it in the washing machine but not inside out.
She told me she could not do the exchange because I did not follow the washing instructions.
I was clearly no THIEF as she had found my proof of purchase, and I even had bags with me from Mango, Gucci at H of F,River Island, Dorothy Perkins which she saw. A 15 pound jumper is the least of items I should be humiliated for.
I do not mind te fact that the exchange was not done. It was a 15pound jumper. However, I cried as I left the store because I felt so humiliated by the treatment given to me in the presence of other shop customers and assistants. The tone of her voice, her countenance; everything was so hostile. I feel I was treated shabbily because of my race/ethnicity.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
I made the mistake of trying to order from their site again today. I should have learned from the first time not to bother dealing with them. -On my first time using them I spent an hour of my lunch break during work trying to get through by phone -As I am from Ireland we don't use zip codes. Their site does not allow you proceed without one, i tried several different versions of 0000, n/a, na, 1234 etc. So was forced to ring them...which took an hour to get through.
So then I stupidly decided to place another order over the weekend.
I logged onto the site on Saturday to place an order using the discount voucher. When I went to check out I was brought to a page asking me for further security details. I put it in all my details but it wouldn't allow me proceed any further.
I tried ringing them several times that day but couldn't get through.
Then I logged on again this morning, only to find that the discount voucher had expired. So I missed out on 20% off purely because they won't answer the phone
I tried ringing them on both numbers several times this morning. The number for outside of the UK rang but would ring out after ringing for about 2 minutes. (I tried this 6 times throughout the course of the day)
I then rang the UK number and was put on a waiting list..all the time paying for the call. After waiting 8 minutes I hung up. I tried the other number 2 times this afternoon, once again rang out.
I then said I would give the UK number another go this evening, I eventually got through and spoke to a lady about my problem, she said she would transfer me to a superior. - I was on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up.
I have tried emailing them about this problem - I replied to an email I had already received from my previous complaint about being unable to get through by phone (a standard, impersonal copy & paste email)only to get an email back saying this email address is no longer in use.
On the site they ask you to write a letter for complaints. Most likely because most people won't go to the effort so they don't have to deal with receiving numerous email complaints.
Their customer service is the worst I have ever come across. and I will never order from them again
New look is possibly my favourite high street fashion retailer. Its range of products and student friendly price points mean that it is perfect for a busy student like myself. The online website does also live up to these expectations. The items are organised in a helpful manor which means that it is easy to narrow down your search if you are not quite sure what you are looking for. My favourite part of the site is the recommendations section which is updated weekly in order to incorporate the latest trends and influence in the market. However, I would like to highlight the fact that the website does not always run smoothly .Regularly the site will either not upload items to the shopping cart of randomly go down for maintenance which does result in a loss of the shopping basket that was being completed. However overall, fast delivery and a broad range of products are offered, Basically everything that you would want out of an online shopping experience.
Newlook.com is good for online shopping if you know what you are looking for. If you know the name of a product, you can simply type it into the search box and it should come up as a result. If you don't know the name of the product you want, you can click onto the collection that it will be in (eg. dresses, tops, skirts etc.) and can then refine the results by selecting the price range, colour, type, style and more. When you click on a product, it takes you to another webpage where you can find more information, colour options, what sizes are in stock, photos of a few different views - you can also zoom in on photos to see details more closely.
There is often offers online (e.g. 20% off summer dresses over one weekend), and always a Sale section, so you can normally grab a bargain!
Delivery costs £3.95 for standard and £4.95 for next day delivery, and returns are free - either return by post or go to a store.
The clothes are normally packed alright, but sometimes the pictures on the website can differ from the actual product slightly (e.g. by colour).
I have only recently became a fan of online shopping. I used to love going into town to shop for a new wardrobe, however, nowadays I never have the time, it also gets way too busy on a weekend.
New Look is one of my favourite places to shop because they sell good quality clothes for fair prices. They have a wide range of clothes shoes and accessories and they have also recently started to sell a good range of stylish mens clothes.
The 'New Look' website (newlook.co.uk) has a simple layout with the headings; 'Women', 'Mens', 'teens', 'Kids', 'New In', 'Get The Look' and 'Sale' across the top of the webpage. When you hover your mouse over each heading, a menu will appear with several choices in it, for example; shoes, belts, tops ect. When you chose one of the choices from the menu it will come up with a page full of the thing that you have chose you view.
The website has good pictures of the products that they are selling and you can enlarge these pictures. If you need or want to see close detail of the product that you are considering purchasing then you can zoom in on the image even further.
When you click on one of the pictures to view the product, it will also come up with the price and a range of sizes to chose from with a 'size guide' to help you if you are unsure of the size that you need. It will also come up with a 'quantity' selection box and a big 'add to my bag' button if you would like to buy the product.
The website gives good information on the product that they are selling and if you are stuck to find something to wear with the product that you have chosen; it automatically comes up with the items that match the product you have chosen, which makes things even easier for you.
The delivery charge is £3.95 and your items will arrive in 2-3 working days, however if you want next day delivery then the delivery charge will be £4.95 .
Overall I have found the 'New Look' website very useful and easy to use.
I cant stand shopping at weekends when the shops are so busy! I dont often have time after work or during the week to go shopping, so online shopping is great for me! You can shop for however long you want in the comfort of your own home, and get it all delivered to your front door! I use many online shopping websites, especially newlook.co.uk as most of my clothes are from new look nowadays!
I never used to like anything in new look, but they have got a lot better in the last few years. The new look website offers everything that the store does, but i usually find more of what i am looking for on the website, as not all stores stock everything new look sells. My local new look is actually quite a big one, but in sale periods i cant stand to look through the rails, so the website is great for sale periods.
The website offers a range of womens, mens, kids and teen products. All these are split into sections for example into tops, dresses, shorts, jeans, shoes etc. When you click on tops, you can then seperate these further to find exactly what you are looking for. You can choose between day, night, basic, vests, shirts, evening tops and many more. This is great if you know what you want, but if you dont you can just browse through them all together.
There is also a section dedicated to the sale items, many of which only have a few sizes in stock online, just like the store. There is also a range for tall people, plus sizes and maternity. I have never seen a petite range, it would be great if new look did this, as i am very petite, but a size 6 in the normal range usually always fits me perfect anyway.
A good description of each product, such as the material and the shape of the top is included, and when you find an item you like just add it to the shopping basket, where it stays until you are ready to go to the checkout with all your items! This is very easy to use, it gives you the total there and then, and the delivery is only £3.95 and arrives within 2-3 working days. If you need it next day it is £4.95 and they also ship abroad.
My items have always arrived on time and in excellent condition, and you can track your order on the website to see where it is. If you want to return something it is free to post back, but i usually take it back to the store as i worry it will get lost in the post, as this has happened to me with other companies!
You can also look up your local store on the website which is handy, and you can go to the new in and get the look sections, to get some ideas if you dont know what to buy or looking for something new and different!
I highly recommend the new look website, it is just as good as shopping in store, and i have had no problems with payment, delivery or the products!
New Look's one of the clothing stores where I get my clobber from, as it gives good products for a good price.
I love shopping online at New Look for many reasons, one of them being that there's just so much more choice on the internet than there is in their actual stores.
I've just looked at their website now, and at present there is currently 891 tops that you can choose from. In my nearest New Look shop, there's no way they could fit so many items of clothing in such a small space! Hence, online is better than in store as it provides much more variety.
Another reason why I prefer to shop with New Look online is that it's much easier to find things on the site than it is to find them in the shops. Online, you can simply click on the category you wish to view items in, and it comes up, simples.
In shops, however, it can take a while to locate where different items of clothes are, hence you wasting that little bit of time which could be otherwise spent doing something else worthwhile.
I've also found that shopping online is more convenient than actually visiting the stores themselves. It can save you the hassle of getting up, getting dressed, getting ready to go out, getting physically to the shop, when all you're after is a new scarf.
With shopping online, you don't even have to leave your house and can pursue/order to your heart's content in the leisure of your own home!
However, a disadvantage to clothes shopping online is that you can't try on the clothes you're buying before you actually purchase them. There's no virtual changing room on their website, and you just have to wait and see what the clothes are like when they arrive. Yet this isn't really a big disadvantage as you can always send them back and get a refund.
A second thing which really annoys me is that online, it doesn't remember what you've placed in the shopping basket if you leave their site temporarily and then go back to it!
It's been doing this since the new layout for the site came up around a month ago, and before that the shopping basket happily remembered what you placed in it.
Nowadays, I've often found myself writing down on some paper the number code for a specific product I like, whereas before I could just save it to my shopping basket and be content with the knowledge that it would still be there the next day.
New Look clothes are good value (most of the time) and good quality (again, most of the time!!). My local New Look store is fairly small, and I find it hard to actually find what I like. If I buy something from there then it seems that the whole town also has it! I started using newlook.com a couple of years ago and have never looked back.
The website is really easy to use, and has a nice layout. The general background is black, and so the website looks quite sleek. There are drop down menus with links to each different department - womens, mens, teens and kids, and there are also menus for the "new in" or "sale". This is a good tool as it lets you see the good offers!
The site offers everything that is available in store, as well as extra online exclusives.
The prices are the same as in store, however I always manage to find a discount code floating around somewhere to use!
Annoyingly, although New Look offer a student discount instore, it does not offer it online, but I find that the convenience of having something delivered to your door, especially when there are other discount codes available, makes up for this.
As you would expect, you need to pay for postage, although occasionally there are offers of free postage which is definitely worth making the most of. The cheapest postage is £3.95 and the items arrive within 2-3 days. If you need to, there is a next day delivery which is £4.95. I have used this once and it did deliver the next day.
If you find the item si not suitable, you can return it by post, or you can take it in store which is great as I don't like having to post it off again.
You can pay with most cards, but I always pay with my Paypal account which they also offer, which is very useful for if you have any money sitting around in it!
I find the website really easy to use, and I recommend it. At the moment, there is a code for 20% off so I plan to use it soon!
