Advantages: so much information in a non-biased, objective outlook

Disadvantages: I often get distracted at work looking at it all

BBC News is part of the busiest internet domain in europe www.bbc.co.uk and all it's many thousands of associated offshoot websites. It is little wonder that with so much traffic entering the bbc domain, that the quality of the content found on BBC news is so high.

The website covers everything from national and international news, breaking headlines, politics, business, entertainment, health, education and many more. Despite this blanket coverage of worldwide current affairs, BBC news is also very careful to cover stories from a local perspective. Where else could I go to check out the news from the local area surrounding my old University in Wales one minute, and then look at international sports news the next? It's strength in depth (to borrow a phrase from football punditry) is second to none and it's approach to news, current affairs and general interest articles in unrivaled and represents great value for the much maligned television license fee. It offers something for everyone, from the most casual reader to the most news obsessed people out there.
