This website belongs to the longest-running, most widely-read 'strange but true' weekly column, The News of the Weird, which appears in more than 250 US and Canadian newspapers. this site has really got to be the most boring on the net, really!!!, i can't say any better than that. I accessed newsoftheworld.com and left after 5 mins, as i nearly started to fall asleep. There was not one decent story on there that made me go, 'oh wow' and 'can that be true'. I'm guessing there must be other sites out there that are better and far more interesting. The overall look of this site was not very good and seemed like a teenager had put it together in his/her bedroom. This site claims to be: "the longest-running, most widely-read bizarre-but-all-true news feature in the United States" but is it as good as it sounds? The site itself is pretty unimaginative and basic. The title page is simply a white background with black text containing a few links interspersed among it and at top and base of the page. It is also incredibly slow to donwload which is surpising seeing as it is so basic. But hey! looks aren't everything...its content right?
