Advantages: Donate 8p 4-Free
Disadvantages: None
There are many of these sites on the internet where one click will donate money on behalf of site sponsors. However, I have never seen as much as 8p being donated just by one click. When you visit the site (www.nspcc.org) and activate the 'Donate 4-Free' button the sponsor companies featured will each donate 2p. At the moment there are 4 companies so 8p is donated on your behalf. As usual with these sites you can only donate once per day. The NSPCC is the UK's leading charity specialising in child protectiona and prevention of cruelty to children. The charity is the only charity in the UK with statuatory powers to enable it to safeguard children at risk. Some alarming facts I picked up from their site: - Each week one child in the UK dies following abuse and neglect. - One third of girls and over one-fifth of boys aged between 12 and 15 said they were sometimes afraid to go to school because of bullying. The site is worth a visit - I particularly liked the 'News' section where you can see what the NSPCC has been involved in recently. Latest news is that the NSPCC has called on Channel 4 to stop the repeat of the 'Brass Eye' programme on child sex abuse after receiving many calls from survivors of child sex abuse. I will try and visit this site daily.

- 03/09/01 This is one of my favourite free donation sites at the moment (it's listed in my user profile). I click every day and have done for a while. Well do to those of you who've visited and especially those of you who've told your friends/family about the site.
Nice op Sandra-M, simple and to the point. |

- 05/08/01 I've just taken a look at the site and yes, it's simple enough. Have e-mailed some friends to inform them and I am about to make the site my home page. |

- 05/08/01 WOW! Now that is a lot!
I wrote an opinion on the NSPCC ages ago but haven't visited the site for a while. Thanks for the info, I'm off there now. |
