Advantages: Find What's Showing Very Quickly (and book it)
Disadvantages: None
The Odeon.co.uk web site is excellent and I have been using it for quite a while now.
I mainly use it to check which films are on and at what times they are showing in the coming days at my local Odeon and to have a look at some of the film trailers that you can view on the site.
There is a reviewing system too so you can look at others' reviews and leave your own review if you wish.
The web site enables you to search films at your local venue, any specific venue or make a universal search of all venues by genre or film title. There is information about Senior Screen which is a special deal for the over 60s as well as other options that show where 3D films can be seen and about their IMAX theatres.
I have also registered with them which enables me to book online.
They have a number of competitions running at any given time which all require an on line ticket booking to get "free" entry to the competition.
You can buy gift vouchers via the web site and you can source details regarding booking corporate events or private screenings.
I think the web site is very good and I cannot fault it. It tends to be my first port of call whenever I am thinking of going to a movie.
I have recently used the "Orange Wednesdays" promotion to get 2 tickets for the price of 1 on a Wednesday. You don't have to book this on line to take advantage of the offer. There is no catch other than you having to be an Orange customer and a 35p charge for a text message. Arrive a bit earlier if booking this way because the queues to pick up tickets tend to be longer.
