Advantages: Guaranteed rewards, quick to complete surveys, plenty of surveys
Disadvantages: High cash-out amount, some of the answers are sketchy
onepoll.co.uk is a survey website that I joined just after Christmas. It's slightly different to most of the run of the mill survey sites out there, but I have to say that it's one of my favourite ones. It's easy to use and the rewards, although small, are pretty transparent.
-The Good-
*You don't need to wait to be invited to surveys, just log on and they are there for you to participate in. I tend to log on once a day and there are always new surveys to take part in.
*It's easy to use. Once you've logged in, go to the 'my surveys' page and a list of surveys appears, with details of the kind of person they want to respond (ie female parent / male from Ireland / over 25, etc), the reward for completing and the closing date of the survey. There is also a option for 'hiding' the survey if you don't meet the criteria, so you don't have to see it every time you log on.
*You qualify for every survey you begin to participate in. This is one of my main bugbears about other survey sites - the fact that you have to answer a million questions only to be told that you don't qualify or they have the required number of participants. Well, this isn't the case with onepoll.co.uk, as they tell you beforehand the participant profile required so you don't waste time.
*You get £2.50 automatically credited just for signing up. Signing up is easy to do as well - just a few general questions and then away you go.
*The surveys are fairly short and easy to complete. All of the questions are on one page, so you don't have to wait for a new page to load every time you've answered a question. Also the questions (bar a very few) are multiple choice, so they are quick and painless to answer.
-The Bad-
*The cash-out amount is £40, which doesn't at first seem too unreasonable, but when you think that a survey is only worth five or ten pence, it can seem like an uphill struggle. I've been a member for a few months now and my account is up to about £12, so it's not a big money maker.
*Some of the surveys are rewarded with an entry into a draw for an Amazon voucher (usually £25 or £50), which pretty much equates to doing it for free when you think about how many people must be entered into the draw each time!
-The Ugly-
*Quite often I find that the answer I want to give isn't one of the options (generally when I want to say zero), but the survey won't let you complete unless you've selected something. So, I pick the next option, which doesn't actually reflect my views, meaning that the answers I give aren't always accurate, through no fault of my own.
-Overall-
The website is one of the easiest survey sites to use, the surveys are interesting and generally quick to complete. However, I would be disinclined to rely on any of the results of the surveys conducted on here as I know that I have given some incorrect answers due to lack of available answer choices. But that, I suppose, is not my problem!
I would recommend this site as, although the rewards are relatively small, you can rest assured that every answer you give is earning you money and the surveys are fun to complete.
Summary: Small rewards for a bit of fun.
