Advantages: 40 Pounds
Disadvantages: It will take me 8-10 years to get the cheque
Onepoll is an online survey company.
It is open to UK regsitered people only and they only have a uk version at www.onepoll.co.uk
I have been a member of onepoll for more than 2 years and I managed to clock up the grand sum of 9.70 Pounds! Since the minim payout is 40 Poun, I may not cash in before 6 years, in fact even later since when I signed up I was given a 1 Pound welcome and by simply entering the email of 5 friends of mine, I got an extra Pound!
I have noticed that the number of surveys is gone down a lot in the last 6-12 months.
The registration is very easy and fast, they ask you the minimum of details, and they do not send you any email. I never got any email in 2 years, at least as fas as I can remember.
This is actually not a very good thing, because I prefer to be notified if there are opportunities. Only recently, for example, I discovered that they had sent me messages in my inbox on their page.
Surveys are fast, but the payout is ridicolous, 5-10pennies at the most!
They seem to be inconsistent too. For example I remember a survey open to married couples, it did not ask for married couples with children. Although I am not married, I am in a stable relationship and decided to give it a go.
One question was asking how many children we have. i ticked the option "0"
A couple of questions down the line there was a question about how many of my children I would like to do, I do not recall what. The minimum number was 1!
Today I filled in a survey about health. It asked me "what is the reason for not going to your GP?" Well, I actually go to my GP if I am sick, so in the end I selectes the option "other"
Overall, I do not think it makes sense to sign up for this website, unless you are bored and prepared to wait for many years for your payout!
Summary: Not recommended

- 26/07/09 I found their polls far too repetitive and tedious so I deleted my account once I reached £40. Lexy |
