Advantages: Frequent surveys, quick questionnaires
Disadvantages: Small reward for each survey and high payout level
When I first became a student I realised that I needed to make some cash quickly and signed up to every survey site going. Some of them I've never used as they've never invited me to take part in anything but OnePoll is one of the sites that I have persevered with.
So what is OnePoll?
*****************
OnePoll is basically an opinion poll site where members are rewarded in cash for expressing their opinions on certain topics. Unlike other survey sights OnePoll doesn't send you survey requests and you have to keep checking on the site to see if there is a survey suitable for you.
Rewards
***********
Lets face it, the rewards of filling in surveys are one of the most important things and unfortunately OnePoll's cash rewards are not very generous. The payout is usually no more than 5p,10p or 20p for each survey you complete and some surveys only enter you into a prize draw to win an Amazon voucher.
One of the disadvantages of this site concerning rewards is that the payout level stands at £40 and with each survey paying just pennies it takes a long time to even reach £10 let alone £40. That said, however, there are surveys released very frequently and I often complete 4 or 5 per day. If you are willing to keep checking the sight daily building up your cash isn't too laborious.
The Surveys
************
The surveys available to complete vary widely and can be about anything from Katie Price to the government. One of the things that I like best about this site is that each survey is very short and only takes about a minute to fill in, so you aren't spending hours filling in boxes for a small reward.
The questionnaires are usually multiple choice with occasionally a few extra boxes for you to express your opinion in more detail if you want to. The surveys are always about current issues and I find it very rewarding knowing that my opinions are being taken into account.
Who is Onepoll aimed at?
**********************
Anyone can use OnePoll and there are some surveys that anyone can do as they do not specify the type of person that they need. Parents, in particular mothers of small children, will benefit most from this site as the majority of surveys ask for opinions from people with children.
Each survey states whether it has any restrictions on the type of person who takes part before you click on it so you don't have the annoying moment of being kicked off the survey because you don't qualify.
How to join
************
Anyone can join OnePoll and you don't need to be invited to create an account. Simply click on www.onepoll.com where there is a link to 'sign up' at the top of the screen. Simply fill in some details and you can start earning money! Registration is quick and easy like everything else on the site! When you sign up you earn £2.50 straight away which is nice to start you off.
It is very easy to keep up with how much you have earned as you simply have to click on 'Your account' where your balance is displayed.
Where does your opinion go?
*******************
One of my favourite things about OnePoll is that they give you feedback on what your opinions have contributed to. There is a link on OnePoll's homepage, labelled 'Press' which gives you feedback on where the surveys are published. Results from surveys that I have completed frequently appear in papers like the Sun, Mirror and Express and it's nice to know that my views are making a difference (even just a little bit!)
Overall if you have the patience to keep logging on to this site it will benefit you in the end. The surveys don't take long to complete but the payout level is high and I am only just about £5 away from the £40 after months of being a member. If you aren't a patient person, OnePoll probably isn't for you!
