Bingo Introduction - A short history and background of Bingo
Bingo is a simple to use game of chance that gets its origins from 14th century Europe. Made popular as a learning game for children in 17th Germany, the name of Bingo stems 1930's New York. The game has not changed much since its inception, and with the advent of the internet; Bingo has never been so popular, being widely available at all online casinos. The increased popularity lies in its simplicity; matching randomly drawn numbers. No skill, strategy or tactics are required. A strong growing online community has formed, making it one of the most fun and addictive games played by all ages, all around the world.
Rules of Bingo - How to play Bingo online or anywhere else
Each player has a card made up of numbered squares, typically 1 - 75. Numbers are drawn randomly from a blower and the object of the game is to complete a varied array of predetermined configurations quicker than anybody else. These patterns can be anything from the corners to rows, both diagonally and vertically, and also the card in its entirety. The first to person to match the numbers in the requested patterns shouts "bingo!" (Originally "beano!") And wins a prize most commonly a percentage of the pot, but this can vary from game to game.
Bingo Tips - What you need to know to be a successful Bingo player
Bingo is essentially a lottery. Once the cards have been purchased, the player is reliant upon luck. However, there a few tips and strategies that a player can bear in mind when playing Bingo in trying to be a successful Bingo player. It is best to avoid overcrowded games as there are more chances of winning with a smaller number of players. Fewer players are to be found Monday to Thursday meaning less competition but jackpots are usually higher at weekends, with the biggest jackpots offered between 8pm - 11pm on Friday and Saturday. There are optional features such as automatic daubers which make it easier to manage more cards. Players should always note how many other players are in the room as this will help the player estimate how many cards they are up against. Finally, players should avoid buying because of superstition, and take advantage of the many incentive schemes available, at sign up, and with quantity buying of cards.
Bingo Odds - Learn how to maximize your bankroll by mastering the odds behind Bingo
When playing Bingo, it is best to keep track of the number of players in the room. It will have a dramatic effect on the odds of winning in Bingo. To edge the odds in the players favor, play with the least amount of players in opposition. This will help to increase the odds. Whilst playing at weekends when it is at its busiest, the player only depresses their odds of success. Always look out for big deposit bonuses and sign up offers. There are a plentitude to compare, offering allsorts of big bonuses, so search around!. Once more experience is gained playing Bingo; a player will quickly learn what games to play and when to play them, all essential in mastering the odds behind Bingo.
So many bingo websites out there and so many many different ones where you can make some money on! The ones to pick out in my review here are a few of the best ones
Oh you get points on here for just posting on the forums! Rewards are given in Amazon vouchers. You can just post on the forums and earn your self 100 points for each day. Of course you could use the points to play games or to save up for a voucher. Really easy way of getting your self a reward took me a month to get a free ten pound voucher. Slots on the game pay out very well to.
Free Scratch card websites like Littlewoods Bingo,Butlins Bingo and Take a break
Here all you need is to have some money in your account and you can use the scratchcard on the site for free. It works ever so well and their is no issue with the scratchcards because you win free money. Small amount a day of 10p is guaranteed. Its all free money so just make some money for free on these websites.
A good one online because they offer your money back of ten pounds. I played for ten pounds on the site and lost out. Still got my money back some people win so this online site is one to check out.
Bingo has been the mainstay of School fundraisers, church socials and the ladies night at the working mens club mostly because its a very cheap game to participate in but mostly because theres the possibility that you'll win a prize.
Bingo is one of the simplest games out there Each player has a game card with fifteen numbers pre-printed on it. A caaller shouts out a randomly generated number from a selection of either 75 or 90 depending on the version of the game whether this be a numbered token from a bag, a ball from within a rotating cage or a machine generated number. The players then crosses that number off their card. In the case of 75 ball Bingo the first player to cross all their numbers off their playing card wins and rather enthusiastically shouts out Bingo (or House). Their card is then checked for errors and if none are found their prize is awarded.
90 ball Bingo offers more prizes. One line - the completion of a single horizontal line of numbers. Two lines - the completion of any two horrizontal lines of numbers and a full house.
For those who only play under duress at school fundraisers keeping track of the numbers on a single card is difficult enough but the experienced players seem to be able to keep an eye on a dozen or more cards and simultaneously keep up a full blown conversation with their friends without taking their eye off the balls, more annoyingly they helpfully point out your oversights too from upside down and across the table.
Then along came the multi-national Bingo chains like Mecca and Gala and the prizes jumped in value from a chocolate Easter Egg or an box of chocolates to hundreds of pounds. The addition of the internet meant the prize funds leapt to hundreds of thousands of pounds and the incentives to play became greater and greater. You can now sign up via a cashback site and make between £5 and £20. Your initial site deposit is then doubled and an awful lot of companies give a free £5 or £10 play before you even get as far as putting your own hand in your pocket which has lead to free bingo with the potential to win real monetary prizes aquiring a cult following.
Sadly on-line bingo is far more dull than the real thing (although thats dull enough after 20 minutes of crossing out numbers). You pays your money and the gaming software does everything else. It crosses off your tickets and it claims your prizes. You don't ned to do anything other than keep financing your tickets and you don't even need to be htere at the start of the game to do that. You can pre-buy tickets for games up to a week in advance. For the masochists amongst you there is the ability to sit at your PC with the speakers turned on listening to the repetative computer generated drivel spouting from the caller but really why? Each on-line Bingo site is populated with real-time message boards moderated by Chat Room Hosts who are there to keep the conversations friendly and prevent any mention of losses being made. This is gambling after all. After your screen has been filled with 3tg, 2tg, 1tg, lucky lemons and sparklings of fairy dust from the call of the first number you'll be ready to throw a brick through your monitor.
Clearly bingo is not my cup of tea although in my quest for a free buck I've played a lot of it recently winning sufficient to persuade me that there is an awful lot of money out there just waiting to be won but had I been playing with my own money instead of the bingo companies free incentives I would be out of pocket to the tune of several hundred pounds.
I had never played bingo before discovering cashback for signing up and playing. I have done this several times and got the cash back and a little bit of winnings. It got to the point that if I was bored I would have a game and I realised I was in danger of spending alot of money I couldn't afford.
What to do? Well a little research led me to bingoport which is a free online bingo site. It is well organised; when you join you get free points to start you off and then you can gain points by:
1. Playing bingo or slots (and winning of course)
2. Posting on forums, you can earn 100 points for posting at least ten words in one of their forums. You can get a maximum of 1000 points a day this way.
3. The wicked wheel, this is a wheel you can spin if you have fewer than 200 points, you can spin three times and earn a few hundred points and sometimes more. You can do this up to four times per day.
You can then spend your points playing bingo or on the slots.
If you manage to save some points you can spend them on:
A new avatar for 4000 points
A tee shirt for 7000 points
A cash transfer to one of several bingo sites worth from £5 to £10 for 5000 points
A £5 Amazon voucher for 8000 points.
The site is free and if you like bingo or slots you can have some fun and chat for free and maybe bag yourself a prize.
Just thought I would share my experiences of playing online bingo...Anyone thinking of playing online bingo please check out the cashback sites first as there are a lot of good cashback offers to be had!
I recently joined Bunny Bingo via My Shopping Arcade, which required you to deposit £10, then Bunny Bingo gave you £20 and I also received £30 cashback, which isnt bad for a £10 spend!
I also received £30 from Topcashback for joining Mecca Bingo a while back.
I have joined a couple of other sites and received good cashback offers, so its always worth a look, just make sure you read the terms and conditions carefully and make sure you understand any wagering requirements, as there are a few like Paddy Power which require you to play through 3 x your deposit before you can withdraw should you be lucky enough to win. I overlooked this and could not withdraw after winning. By the time I had played through the wagering requirement, I had no money left to withdraw!
My favourite pay to play site is Wink bingo as they give you £15 free when you join and you do not need to deposit! If you win with the free money and wish to withdraw then they ask you to make a deposit of £10 but it is still worth it. Wink also give you £5 free for every £10 you deposit and also 10% cashback on all losses each week unless you win. Wink has been my luckiest site and I have managed a few wins of around £25 and only deposited a couple of times.
Another good site is Bingoport which is totally free! You play for points which can be earned by spinning the wheel and posting on the forum, as well as the points you earn winning on bingo and slots. You can then redeem your points for Amazon vouchers or convert your points to real cash to play on Bingo sites. It's very addicitive and you don't have to spend a penny, so no chance of getting into debt on this one, yet you can still win real cash and vouchers!
I seem to spend an inordinate amount of time using online bingo sites, so I thought I'd better share my personal favourites with you all! Before anybody accuses me of having a raging gambling addiction, I should point out that I usually join sites because of generous sign-up offers, cashback and freebies, so you might find some tips here!
Firstly, always check the cashback sites before you sign up to any bingo sites. Most are linked to an affiliate scheme, and it's possible to earn more cashback than you need to gamble on the site, with the added bonus of any potential winnings.
Secondly, read the terms and conditions of each site thoroughly. Some have wagering requirements attached to the 'free bonus' money that they offer. In some cases, you can't ever withdraw any winnings earned from bonus money so make sure you check before you waste your time (or even worse, your own money!)
Here are my top five bingo sites:
1. Gala Bingo.
My ultimate favourite! This site offers free bingo games to all its members every Thursday. Admittedly, the number of free games has reduced drastically within the past few months but there is still the real possibility of winning anything up to £700 without having to risk any of your own money. Before the changes, I won over £300 from the free bingo at Gala so I can confirm that they do really pay out! Payments go straight into your account within a couple of days.
New members get a generous cash-match bonus which can be more than double the amount you first deposit. (Don't forget to check the cashback sites too! Currently £20 cashback from Topcashback for a £10 deposit and playthrough.)
2. Mecca Bingo
Again, cashback (try Topcashback, currently £30 for a minimum deposit and playthrough of £10) and a cash-match bonus is available for new members. They also offer free bingo games (usually on a Friday) and regular promotions. The prizes on the free bingo at Mecca are much smaller though and there are loads of people playing. I've only won once and that was the grand sum of 18p for a line - because the prize was shared amongst so many other winners! They did add a bonus £5 into my account when it was my birthday recently which was a nice surprise (and soon blown on the scratchcards - oops!)
3. Chitchat Bingo
This is part of the St Minver group alongside Littlewoods, Butlins Bingo and many others. (Usually listed on the major 100% cashback sites.) Be wary of the wagering requirement on the 'free' bonus from these sites. It is 10x the bonus - so if you get £10 'free', you will need to gamble £100 before you can withdraw any winnings! It is possible to do on some of the games or slots (not likely with bingo, unless you have a sickening run of good luck!) I played my bonus through on 'Roll 'Em Baby' a dice game and managed to turn it into withdrawable cash!
I visit this site every day because of their free daily scratchcard. So long as you have a positive cash balance, you are guaranteed a win of between 10p-£100! I've never won £100 but I have won £5 a few times and it doesn't cost me anything to try. You can withdraw amounts above £10 (but remember to leave some credit in your account to carry on playing the scratchcards.)
4. Bingo Café
This site involves downloading software to play the bingo. It's quite an unusual site as you're represented by a virtual character and you have to actually 'walk' into a virtual bingo room and sit down at a table to play bingo! (It took me ages to work that out!) When you 'chat' to other players, the words come out of little speech bubbles from the characters mouths. If you like those sort of virtual reality games, this site would probably appeal but it's not my favourite set-up, if I'm honest.
I do like the site for the sign-up bonus, novelty factor and, as usual, the chance to earn cashback as a new member (try Cashbackkings at £15 cashback for £10 playthrough). They also regularly send bonus offers through via email to existing members. Withdrawal of any winnings has always been straightforward and relatively quick too which is always a reassurance.
This used to part of the same network as Sun Bingo but they have now gone their separate ways. Tombola has the same layout as the original Sun Bingo and the same games. They also offer a free daily game but you have to deposit within the last 30 days to play. I prefer the actual bingo on this site to any others - just because of the really fun 'dobber' used to mark off the cards! I also love the Hamster Race. It's basically just as daft as it sounds, but it is really addictive and I've wasted more money on this site than any other just because of those cute little hamsters! (You have to sign up to appreciate it, honestly.) No cashback available for this one, unfortunately, but they do match your first deposit and it is probably the most fun!
6. Wink Bingo
I was originally put off by this site by their misleading 'free £15' offer as a new member which implies that you don't need to deposit and play with any money of your own. You do actually have to deposit and play through at least £20 to withdraw any cash. The site is still a good one to use, once you understand the terms and conditions! They offer two completely free bingo games every day and a 'risk free' game on Fridays where any non-winning tickets are refunded. They also give you 10% cashback into your account based on your losing tickets each week! (So if, for example, you deposit and gamble £10 on the site without winning, Wink will credit you with £1 free. Better than nothing!)
7. Virgin Bingo
This was previously part of the St Minver group but have recently gone their seperate ways. This is another one that offers a free daily scratchcard and, more often than not, I win 25p per day on there! They also have free chat games (providing you are an active bingo player) which netted me an extra quid the other day. They seem to have regular promotions and a nice mix of different bingo games (75 ball, 90 ball etc.) as well as lots of instant win games and slots.
So that's it - seven of my favourite online bingo sites (sorry for the odd number!) . As I mentioned above, some of these sites and games can be really addictive! Always set yourself a budget and stick to it. Don't start thinking 'I'll just play one more game....' If you maximise your profits by gaining cashback and using the new member sign-ups, though, you should have enough money to allow yourself the luxury of gambling a little bit of it away!
I play online bingo with the Sun. We signed up after my inlaws had a few wins on it, we put £10 in our account and they matched it with another £10. We won £200 in our first week and that was over 3 days and we didnt play or spend a lot of money.
It can be addictive and there is no guarantee you will always win, you just have to be careful of getting carried away. You need to know when to stop also, I generally know if I have won once I am not likely to win again so I stop there. The prizes can be quite high depending on the time of day and on the hour and every half hour they do a linked game where all the games on the website are put together to create a bigger prize.
Overall, if you are looking to make a bit more money and you have a bit to spare (we havent put anymore than £10 in) you can make money here. But it can be dangerous.
Having worked in the past at real bingo halls i thought i'd venture onto the online version of the game.
Some sites are really good offering you cash match bonuses like deposit £20 and they match your deposit, beware though as many of these bonuses arent withdrawable and are purely used to get you playing on the site and getting hooked!
The main catch is the minimum ammount you can withdraw from an account, beware this is how so many of the sites are a swizz!
For example, you deposit £10 into your acount they match this with a further £10, so you have a balance of £20. You play a few games and win nothing so you go below your £10, then amazingly you win but the prize you win is £9.99!!
To cut a long story short many sites do a minimum withdrawl of £10, you use your original bonus and win a full house prize set JUST below the minimum withdrawl ammount so you never have enough in your account to withdraw it as it classes your bonus cash as non-withdrawable and if you then try and win a little more to take you over the £10 you need to extract the funds your balance gets lower and lower!!
Just Beware!! I've found several sights that do this!
Overall the online bingo experience can be fun, there are an enormous ammount of sites out there to play on all with different kind of games like 90 ball, 80ball and 75 ball, many have sidegames to play whilst you wait for the next game like scratchcards and fruit machines and almost all of them have chatrooms in so you can moan about other people winning!!
If you have some spare time and the cash they are well worth a visit, but as it is a game of chance having the winning ticket you wont be able to retire on your winnings!
Ticket prices vary from as little as a penny a ticket to over a pound depending on what you would like to stake and try to win.
What if i told you there was a way to earn a guaranteed sum of money each day from bingo sites..interested? What if i told you the sum of money is 10p.. not so interested? perhaps not but bear with me.
What I learned a few months ago was a lot of the bingo sites also do a free daily scratchcard, all you need is a positive balance with them, ok you say, thats the catch i need to play a tenner before i get anything ..actually no, you need to deposit a tenner, then do one scratchcard earning yourself a guaranteed 10p at least, then withdraw your tenner leaving the 10p in your account as a positive balance. Now everyday (and twice on a sunday you can log in and do your scratchcard.
Butlins and Littlewoods both do these although beware they are run by the same parent group and dont look kindly on you having two accounts so just do the one, however i have just found out that Take a Break bingo do the same promotion and they are a different group so you can sign up to them as well with no probs.
I know 10p is not exactly a life changing amount but even if you win the minimum 10p each day and twice on Sundays thats 80p a week, do two cards and it's £1.60, do it for a year and thats £83.20, not bad for 2 minutes a day. also that's just assuming you win the minimum 10p each day- you could win 20p,50p,£1,£5 or even £100.
To sum up-if you are on the computer anyway each day ( to come on dooyoo of course!) take out 2 minutes to do the scratchcards,it really is money for nothing.
bingoport bingo- this a free site that gives you free slots and free bingo you play for points not money , however you can change the points for money on other sites for example 5000 points can be transferred to 5.00 on foxy bingo.
if your points run low you can write a review about bingo sites to get more points.
you can chat in the rooms with friendly people and play chat games to earn more points.
slot machines are also free as you use your points. bingoport is a sponsored site and thats why it is free. so you can have hours of fun playing bingo 75 ball or 90 ball, slot machines, chatting and game playing for free what more can you ask for. if you cant write a review to earn more points when your points go below 200 you can spin a wheel to earn money. this is a great site and worth a peak, but bewarned it is addictive.
Seeing as I'v spent the morning floating between here and a bingo website, I decided I my aswell write a review of some of the best uk bingo sites and compile a list of the best bonuses... for those of you like me who like to bingo but dont like to lose your own money!!!
Firstly, bingo can be addictive so do be careful, however I have made quite a bit of money by sticking to free bonuses and never spending more than I can afford!!
My favourite site has to be Wink Bingo...
It's a pretty new site which offers £10 sign-up no deposit bonus. They run great promotions, have both 75 and 90 ball games...Tickets range from 5p-£1 and prizes are usually around the £30 mark per game..there are loads of mini games and once a month they give away a guaranteed £10,000 jackpot. Points may be earned throught depositing, playing and winning and chat games and 1000 can be exchanged for £1 to play bingo with! The best thing is you can even cash out a tenner... where most other sites will require you to have £30 in your account before you make a withdrawal, Wink only requires you to have £10. The CH's are friendly and there is 24hr live help!! Fantastic...
All other sites pretty much work by the same sets of rules so I have compiled a short list of some of Their names and bonuses.
Bingo Sky: £20 free , 300% dep bonus
Bingozest: £20 free, 300% dep bonus
Cyberbingo: £20 free, 300% dep bonus
Blackpool Club Bingo: £21 free, 200% dep bonus
Gala Bingo: £10 free, free bingo Thursdays!
Bingo Liner: £15 free, 200% dep bonus
Dream bingo £5 free, 100% dep bonus
Champagne Bingo:100% dep bonus + free bottle of champagne!
Foxy Bingo: £10 free, 100% dep bonus.
These are just a selection of a few. Bingo can be fun and a great way of making good friends online but as always you must be careful.
Enjoy and Good Luck!
If you were one of the many ,that enjoyed playing bingo in the halls .. but, since the *no smoking * ban in the uk has come in , its put you off ..or the way your hall.. was run has changed and put you off...why not try, online bingo .I did and have not looked back .
The online bingo is just as exciting and there is a great community spirit ,what with the chat consoles provided and forums ..only problem, you might have.. is choosing the right online bingo , I mean there is various incentives to join .. free money to start you off and subsequent deposit deals . If that's the case try a review site like http://www.bingoport.co.uk .It ranks all the bingo sites and tells you their deals cards prices and jackpots. After that ,all you have to do is register and enjoy the fun in the comfort of your own home . You play in your pj's if you want and smoke , drink .. and your roomie mates are there ,to chat with . Recommend ,you give ita go.
Well, if you know me from ciao, and have read my about me review, you will know that i work on an online bingo site, as a chat moderator.
I currently work for meccabingo.com, who also have two other links that you can use, meccagames.com and bluequare.com. Ok i wont babble on about my job lol, i am quite sure you will get bored, but i will give you a few details at the end and compare some sites.
There is lots of online bingo sites available, including UK sites and American sites. Most have a deposit bonus.
The thing i find with some people that play bingo can become addicted as it is fun, i myself play online bingo, but i limit myself to how much i put on my account, and only use what i can afford to lose.
You should never go into a bingo site thinking you will win, as it is all random and there is no guarantees. Also never put more on thinking that you are bound to win your money back. Online bingo does not work like that.
Many people complain, about same people winning and that its a fix etc, but to me its just like playing in a bingo hall, except that you are in the comfort of your own home. Some people do have runs of good luck but you have to always think how much they may have spent to get that run of luck.
Most bingo sites, have chat moderators, although not all rooms are moderator on some sites. Mecca DO have all rooms moderator. The moderators are there to congratulate winners, keep the room nice to make sure you enjoy your online experience, and to play chat games where you can win free money to play with. They are also there to help with anything you need to know.
Ok heres some chat lingo and meanings that you may see should you ever go to an online bingo site:
Lol = Laugh out loud
Wdw = Well done winner
Lmao = Laughing my a**e off
Pmsl = Peeing myself laughing
Hagd = Have a good day
Tc = Take Care
Hb = Hurry back
Brb = Be right back
Rofl = Rolling on floor laughing
Thats just to name some of the main things you will see in the chat room. Most bingo sites also have rules which must be obided by, they are not strict, just realistic, but if you disobey the rules, you can have your chat taken away from you by the chat moderator.
The mains rules are, be curtious to all players, no swearing, and no mention of other sites in the chat room, as this is classed as advertising.
Now i have played on a few internet sites, and been in a few of their chat rooms, the main ones i played at were thinkbingo and foxybingo, i thought the chat rooms were ok, but they are alot quieter than what i am used to in mecca, and the prizes were not as good, most i have ever seen a full house played for in them is £20.
That is why i wish i could play at mecca, the chat room is always great and funny, and the least i have seen a full house for is £60 and that is on a 5p a ticket game. Prices per ticket normally vary on sites in emcca they have, 5p,10p,15p,25p and 50p also at 10pm every night in the 2 little ducks room they have a 50p game which is normally over £900 for the house.
Amount of people that have said to me on mecca that they love the site because they not only enjoy their bingo, but are made to feel welcome by the chat moderators and the players, and that it is always a laugh.
I do like playing bingo, but i do know if i let it i could get addictive, as when you win you get the same adrenaline rush, like you do when you go to a bingo hall. Always remember though that you can lose your winnings again.
Now mecca offer sever deposit bonuses and i will explain how they work:
£10 = Once you have spent your £10 deposit, the free £10 is credited within 24 hours.
£25 = You have to deposit 10 times your deposit within 60 days to recieve your free £25, so you would have to deposit £250
£50 = You have to deposit 10 times your deposit (£500) within 60 days to recieve your free £50.
These are all listed in the terms and conditions, so you should always make sure you read them.
How to play
First of all you must make sure that you have money in your account which is obvious lol. If you enter the room in the middle of the game, then it will show the game in progress, this is in case you have purchased tickets and your browser closes down, so that you can still see your tickets, which in most sites if you close browser or get booted as it is called, then you lose your tickets and they are played but you can not see them, but with mecca they remain the same.
Then once entered to get onto the next game you have a next game button above the tickets, this can only be seen if you do not have tickets for the game in progress. If you click that you can get your tickets for the next game, you can chosse to purchase strips or tickets:
Strips- these are a full strip of six tickets
Tickets - this is one single ticket
The maximum amount of tickets that you can play are 36. Once the game starts your tickets will automatically mark, you can choose to mark them yourself by clickin the auto daub tab above your tickets. You can also click sort tickets, which will bring your closest to winning tickets to the top of the page.
On every game they play for the one line, two lines then full house. You also do not have to worry about missing numbers if you mark yourself as the sites automatically claims for you, the site is so easy to use and can all be automated, which means you can sit back relax and have a nice chat with the fantastic people in the room, and the Chat Moderators, who without been biased lol are absolutly fabulous.
The only thing i can advise for online bingo is only put in what you can afford to lose, and do not try to win money back that you have lost, the game does not work like that. So please be careful and try not to get addicted, just spend so much a day and enjoy yourself when you are on.
Ok babble over, you never know you might already know me from mecca xxx
