I've written quite a few opinions on HTML tutourial websites recently, but I've found pageresource to be one of the best. Pageresource.com is a superb web developer tutorial & information site for both beginners and professionals. Along the top of the website is a About.com navigation bar. OK, so I'm probably a bit slow off the mark here, learning HTML just as XML etc is being developed, but I thought I should learn a simple language before going after a more complicated one. I found this most excellent site after following links from W3C XHTML web-site and it wasn't the only tutorial I came across. It was, however, the best. Simple to follow, not patronising and with many examples of what he was talking about so you don't feel like it's purely an academic exercise.
