Advantages: Helpful guides weather buying or selling, easy to navigate
Disadvantages: Only used car prices from 1982
If like me you have little knowledge of Cars & have real trouble buying or selling a Car. This is an excellent site, like a supermarket it has everything under one roof. If your looking to buy a Car & worried that you may be conned into buying an expensive or useless vehicle or probably wanting to sell one & looking for guidance on what price to ask for your car in it's present condition, It has answers to all your questions (well most any way). I think the first time I visited this site was via a link from Autotrader, you see as I have hardly any knowledge about cars I wanted to do my research before I actually went out looking for a vehicle. I wanted to buy a small relaible car, I think I should tell you the real reason I mean it can't be that embarrasing & hopefully I'm not alone either. It's taken me about 6 years to pass my driving test & it became a challenge rather then the love of driving!! Well I passed eventually & for the last couple of years have had a Toyota corolla (small & reliable), so when it came to change it as it was falling apart I decided to try the net first & Autotrader, Loot & I think automart were the first few sites I searched through to get an idea of the price range. I had a choice between a micra & corolla. If your not sure which car to go for it can help you choose a car by allowing you to enter what your looking to get from a car i.e price range, security, depriciation e.t.c. In my case I'd already decided, so the site allowed me to enter the the plate & year I could also indicate the mileage. It has an indicator which you tick if either your buying or selling the particular vehicle (as the prices would be different). It then gave me three price ranges, for the condition of the car i.e. excellent, good or average condition. (It also informs you what an excellent, good or average vehicle should entail). This site has a helpful guide on insurance
& you can find out which insurance group your chosen car belongs to, therfore making it easier to estimate insurance costs before you buy. It also contains information on how to reduce insurance costs. In many cses it also makes you aware of the parts & labour costs. Once you've chosen a car it then guides you through the steps involved in buying the car such as inspection, road test & negotiating deals.. This site has a vast amount of information for bauyers, sellers or if your just intrested in vehicles. It has an excellent layout & is easy to navigate & one you'd probably want to add to your favourites.
