paybox.comNewest Review: ... no. and bank details, and if referred by a friend their mobile number (this will net them a healthy referral fee). Currently the referral fee is £5 in the UK - although there is no referral scheme in Austria. With the membership fee currently ?15 in Austria or £10 in Britain per annum, the outlay is not that great, and if you can get two friends referred then you will not have to pay for the ... more |

How many times have you heard the line, "The cheque is in the post!" - quite a few I would expect. Well with paybox it can now be in the phone! I had seen assorted adverts on various websites regarding paybox, but had never signed up for it, having not had any need to do so to date. With business taking off with a German contact, and with cheques (even from one Euroland to another) incurring a hefty handling charge e.g. a ?93 cheque incurring ?13 in handling charges, paybox looks to be a viable solution, since the cost of an international transfer is a mere ?1.50. Of course there is a slight restriction, namely that it has to be between countries in ... Read the complete review

Online shopping. It seems daunting to some. Personally I find online CD shopping has done wonders for my music collection (if not my bank account). Before you can start shopping though, you normally need a credit card. Well, for me that’s no problem (I managed to get one despite being a student...) Not everyone, however, has or wants a credit card – and some that do are afraid to give their details online. There are a number of solutions coming onto the market – such as SmartCreds or Splash Plastic and Paybox is another, albeit quite different. Why did I sign up? Well, for me the reasons were quite different – as I said, I already have a credit ... Read the complete review

I first heard of paybox when shopping on CD-Wow, where you can get a chart CD for £3.99 if paying with Paybox. So being a little scallywag, I got the free £5 and went to buy my £3.99 CD with the idea that if I didn't like it, I could leave and have a free CD. No loose situation I thought. Wrong. I set up my account, entering my bank details and it rings your mobile phone to confirm. Not a problem yet. Then later when I tried to check that I'd got my ... Read the complete review

Having seen a banner for cdwow.com whilst dooing my dooyooing well before christmas, I decided to investigate. One of the methods of payment was paybox, an incentive to use this method payment was your first cd at a reduced cost (it seems such a long time ago now I have forgotten what it wss). However, at the time I was enticed by it. I followed the on screen instructions, to the letter I might add, and registered for paybox through my mobile phone. The idea being that you authorise the payment through your mobile phone, a pin number is set up and when you want to make a purchase they ring you to get authority, you put in the pin number and away you ...
