Paypal is something I have been using ever since I signed up for an account with ebay. In fact I have recently learned that ebay actually owns PayPal. So what is paypal? simply put it is a facilitator of financial transactions allowing you to send and receive money online. Since I am a regular buyer on ebay I have noted that most sellers demand that the buyer has a paypal account and this is a facility which is beginning to become more commonly used by individual buyers and sellers away from paypal also. In order to sign up to paypal you must first register with your personal details as well as providing a payment method type. To ensure that there ... Read the complete review

If you aren't familiar with Paypal, it's a service allowing you to send and receive money online, with integrated buyer and seller protection in the case of disputes. It's free to register for an account and also free to send payments. If you are on the receiving end of a payment, you'll find it's subjected to a tiered fee structure which begins at 3.4% + 20p of the transaction value. For those of you that don't know Paypal is a safe way of receiving money or shopping online without giving your personal banking details to the other people involved. It's free to sign up for and also free to send money. The only things you need are an email address and a bank account to which money can be transferred to and from. Really it's just like a bank in my mind. I've had to set up an account with them as this is how many survey sites now pay their members. What has concerned me since setting up my account is the amount of phising emails I get pretending to be from Paypal. Before I signed up and opened an account I never recieved anything from ... Paypal.com is basically, in short, a big online, safe, bank. I have been using paypal.com for around 1 year now as that is when i set up my eBay account and it was recommended by eBay that i set up a paypal account to my bank account for quick and safe transactions. Well it look around 5 minutes for it to be connected to by bank account, i simply entered by card details, confirmed it all and that was it. I had to wait 3 working days though for my bank confirm the set up of the bank account and the paypal account, and then i was away and i could buy things from eBay and other websites quickly and easily!
