Advantages: Secure, safe, fast way to shop online.

Disadvantages: None for me so far.

Paypal.com is basically, in short, a big online, safe, bank. I have been using paypal.com for around 1 year now as that is when i set up my eBay account and it was recommended by eBay that i set up a paypal account to my bank account for quick and safe transactions. Well it look around 5 minutes for it to be connected to by bank account, i simply entered by card details, confirmed it all and that was it. I had to wait 3 working days though for my bank confirm the set up of the bank account and the paypal account, and then i was away and i could buy things from eBay and other websites quickly and easily!

Paypal is very easy to use, i've heard you can use if without setting up your bank account to it but i've not tried this so i can't comment on it. There is a promise on eBay about paypal, you are covered for items you buy that are under £5,000 so it is very safe and you know your in good hands with paypal.

I suggest you delete your history after using paypal and make sure your browser is set to do NOT remember your password for added security.
