Advantages: lots of features
Disadvantages: have to get to $75before u can get paid
Okay let me try to be as complete on this as I can, in hopes of clearing the air a little on this new entry into the PTS programs out there. PaysU is a paid for surf program much like the others you are familiar with. They pay you to have a bar on your desktop that shows ads and then pay you for it. Their bar measures 7 3/4" long (extended) by 1/2" high. when shrunk it is just over 5 3/4" long x 1/2 high. When extended you can left click above the Red P logo and see a bar with a green light. After about 5 minutes the bar moves to the left and glows blue. Clicking an ad will bring the bar back to center. The best I can explain this would be to say the following. If the bar goes to the left of center you are not clicking enough ads to stay within a click to ad ratio. If the bar goes to the right of center it glows red and thus you are clicking too much. I have found that by keeping the bar in the middle and green I am getting a click through rate of 1.19% Since this is keeping my bar green i can only assume (hate that word) that I am maintaining their required click ratio. I can only assume because I can find no mention of the required ratio on the site. On the far left are 3 buttons....X for close the bar out, - for minimize the bar, and An arrow Extends or retracts the size of the bar. In addition to these are the main buttons: There are 6 buttons on this when it is extended...Help, alert, transfer, menu, search, address Help takes you to the sites help page. Alert flashes when you have an ad that meets the profile you filled out when signing up. transfer Page is still under construction and no clear explanation of what it is for. Menu this opens a preset search on different topics such as weather, news, shopping and more.... Search Just like it says...opens a spot on the bar to input what ever you want to search for on the internet. Address opens the same spot
to input a known site you want to visit. Still on the left of the bar... Centered above their log is a place to click which will open the green light I spoke of earlier. It will also show you an up to date number of hours you have used the bar. i like this feature, right on the bar and easy to read. It also has the green light that helps you stay within the click ratio. To the left and blue, not enough clicks. To the right and red, too many clicks. Even though they don't list what the ratio is supposed to be, this should help you stay within those guidelines. They have also started a discussion about pay rates, on delphi.com . Here you can read what others are saying about proposed pay changes, current rates and problems they are having with the site as referrals and account stats go. Nice touch and some interesting reading, lots of bashing going on about this new bar. Seems it hit the U.K last year and has just now made the U.S. Pay Rate Yeah you knew I was going to get to this part!!! Well good or bad here is the lowdown.$.50-$60 per hour for a max of 25 hours per month. Referrals are Level 1 $.15 per hour for a max of 10 hours per month! Level 2 $.08 per hour for 10 hours! Well they lost me as a dedicated user on that part. they limit you to only 10 hours for your referrals! Think that's bad, well here come the real kicker..........You have to have $75 dollars in your account before you get paid! Yep you heard right $75...so I did the math for you again and that means that at the max rate per month you will surf for 6 months before you get a check! 25 x .50 x 6 =$75. Of course with some referrals you can do it quicker, but some of us are loners. The Site Slow loading is a nice way to put it. How about make a ham/cheese sandwich, pour a glass of milk, then let the dog out for his business. Come back in 5 minutes and it should be loaded! Depending on if they listen to the members as th
ey promise they will, a change will go into effect soon. Will it be bad or good is anybodies guess, and we all know about assuming!!! If they lower the max payout requirement, it will be a bar to have, referrals or not. If they don't and you can't get many you will be S.O.L. I wouldn't jump the gun on this one yet. I would join and try to gain referrals, and if you max other programs use this one and get your hours per month. But I would not use this as a lone program and hope to get any money anytime soon. Perhaps they will do the right thing and all will be fine and dandy, but I would not hold my breath just yet. I have to rate this one on the low end, mainly because of the min. payout of $75 and having to surf 6 months before you get a check. I will be willing to change that if and when they change the requirements. I almost forgot to mention the other 2 services they offer: Paysstart: Pays you to set them as your home page. Max 10 hits per day and 55% of ad revenue from that page. No money numbers sorry, but this point is not easy to find and since the rest was such a disappointment I didn't bother. Paysback: 1-12% rebate when you shop at their selection of retailers.

- 07/01/01 Hmm! A little confusing at times and a bit away from the truth but other than that an excellent opinion here, try and get the facts spot on though if you are going to include them, otherwise don't include them at all, it can mislead people who don't know of Paysu.com |
