Uttfield tescophoto.com: ... used the 40 free prints offer (who doesn t) and opted to pick them up in my local store, rather than have them posted. From what I could gather, this means that when you upload your pictures to the website and confirm the order, the whole thing is sent to your local store to be printed there, if it is able to do this. If you have them posted I m not sure what happens. Anyway, the site was very easy to use and quick...

... downloaded the Kodak software when prompted from their website and installed it on my pc. Once it is up and running, you can use it to edit/organise/etc the photos you want before uploading. This seemed cumbersome at first, but actually is rather a good idea. Everything is pretty straightforward as with most photo printing websites, and quick if you have broadband. As usual, I used the "free prints for joining" offer, and the delivery charge was £1.39, which seems reasonable. Packaging was a large cardboard envelope with the photos in a cardboard wallet inside, and they arrived in three days from placing the order. For me, the colours were traditionally Kodak ...

... pictures were a mixture of landscapes, city shots and portraits from my holiday and, not being happy with the results from my local printer, I decided to try 4 online printers. The website was easy to use and the upload was pretty quick (I do have broadband). Photobox was by far the quickest to arrive, coming within two days of upload. The packaging was good (a semi-rigid plastic box), and there was a contact print included. The paper was also of decent quality. I used the 40 free-prints-for-joining offer, and the postage was £1.49. To my eyes, the prints were generally too dark and cold, with the greens being boosted too much. A lot of shadow detail was also lost. Th...

... the one hand, this is a great place to keep up with what is going on in the world of microstock, on the other hand... Anyone new to the world of microstock will know what a confusing world it can be, there are multiple sites touting for your business, and lets face it it is a hard job for them to be the favourite, because of the extremely low rates paid (the market is saturated to be fair, so the odds are rated in the agencies favour). What one agency offers another will follow suit - it can get difficult to keep up. The solution is to pool the information you do have with others and to fill the gaps in your knowledge from that pool. Turn to the Microstock group f...
