Advantages: Easy to work site
Disadvantages: Takes for ages to earn a reward; Have to spend real money to get most rewards
Pigsback.com used to be one of the best sites for earning points and I used to log on a few times a day and my points used to go up dead quick. Now it's not that good because there are hardly any chances to get any free piggypoints and if you shop online there are better points values from other cashback sites.
It works the same as other cashback sites where you have to click through to the merchant from the pigsback site and your points will be added a bit later when they've been authorised. Sometimes on the homepage will be a link you can click for a free 50 points to go on your account but those only come every 2 or 3 weeks so it's not worth bothering.
You need 3000 points for a £10.00 voucher and it will take for ages to get that many points because of how slow they are for adding free points because there's only so much shopping you can do online.
You can see your balance all the time in the corner of your homepage of pigsback so it's easy to keep track of how many you have earned and once a month you'll get an email telling you how many you had got that month. I have never got very many each month and I don't think I'll ever get enough for a voucher so might cash in soon for some pink pigsback pens and then close my account because it's too time consumming and the rewards are too hard to get.
I like the way the site is laid out because it's set out in zones so is easy to find what you're looking for. In every zone there's a daily competition to win extra piggypoints but even though I did them every day for ages I have never won anything so I've kinda given up on them and just do the comps when I remember.
Sometimes you can get freebies from pigsback and points as well just for applying and I think that's a good idea. I have had a sample of Dove shower gel and some Garnier face creams that both came from pigsback and I think I got about 100 points for these 2 offers. I wish they had more like that because you don't mind such low rewards if you're getting a freebie as well.
There's other ways of earning points by sending tips and success stories up but I've read on a lot of forums that it's the same people getting these points time after time so I reckon they're not worth doing unless your face fits good enough for Curly the pig to pick you out every month.
I had to get in touch with their customer services once and they seemed OK and replied to my email quite quick and sorted my problem out.
I'm going to pigsback as soon as I've finished writing this because it's made me realise how bad this site is compared to other cashback sites and I can't be bothered giving them so much of my time now for not very many rewards.
Summary: A Very Slow Cashback Site That Isn't Worth Bothering With
