I have always been a pen snob - ever since I was in grade school, I have loved going to Staples and browsing the pen aisles, picking and choosing models that looked as though they might fulfil my strict criteria - smooth ink flow, comfortable grip, vibrant colour - only to discard them and come back for more. This cycle, typically re-enacted throughout the school year, came to an end after I used the PILOT Hi-Tecpoint V5 Grip pen. Pilot make great office supplies. They do pens, pencils, rubbers. They sell supplies in every local store. They have big pen sets which cost about £11. The pens they sell are lovely they do metallic, flurescent and your usual ballpoint and liquid. The cheapest is £1.10 for a seperate pen. They do lots of things I love it. Pilot do great things, not too much money and the pens last for ages and make writing neater and great. They write smoothly and the nibs are different thicknesses.
