Advantages: Great pay, interesting and fairly quick surveys
Disadvantages: Hard to get on the panel in the first place
This is by far the best survey site I have ever come across.
They pay you £4 in Luncheon vouchers for every survey that you do. Some of these surveys take just 10 minutes. The Luncheon vouchers can be redeemed in places such as Morrisons, Boots and best of all Starbucks! I have recieved about £20 or £24 of vouchers since I rejoined Pinecone Research about 2 or 3 months ago.
I joined them many years ago and was raking in the vouchers then as well, however they are very strict on kicking you off the panel if you miss more than say one survey that they send you. I went to Australia for 5 weeks and when i came back I was sent no further surveys as I had missed the deadline on about 3!!
It took another 2 years before I could join again because you cannot simply go to their website and sign up. You have to wait until they are recruiting and then hope that someone invites you or you find the link on a forum site like I did. Occasionally once you are on the panel they will say they are recruiting again and send you a link you can forward on to friends and family (only one person on a panel per household though I think). I forwarded one on to a friend at work and she has had a few surveys to date but not quite as many as me, I'm not sure why. Another friend at work is desperate to join as me and my other colleague keep going to Starbucks to get our "free" coffee using our luncheon vouchers!
The surveys are on all kinds of things and are actually quite fun. They often involve a test where you have to click on pictures of supermarket shelves and see how quickly you can find a certain product - I think this must be when they are trying to work out if their packaging is eye catching enough! But it's good fun.
I also recently got sent a sample of something to try (not allowed to say what as per their strict confidentiality policy), but it was great and I basically got £4 for doing the initial survey, then got sent a full size product to try for free and then got another £4 for doing the survey after having tried the product.
They occasionally send you 2 or 3 minute surveys that you don't get paid for where they basically are just trying to get more information on you so it might ask 2 or 3 questions only around whether you buy dog food or something for example. I think if you do these even if you don't get paid you are more likely to get surveys.
They also recently sent me an email announcing that they will now pay in Paypal as well as luncheon vouchers so you can actually get £4 cash for doing these surveys. I think I will actually stick to the vouchers because I use them for treats and it is much more pleasurable than just putting a few pounds in my bank account every now and then.

londongirl - 30/11/08 Janharper - what do you get paid in then because I promise you I still get luncheon vouchers!! I have had 3 lots in the last 2 or 3 weeks and their email about being paid by paypal only came out a couple of weeks ago and you can still choose to get luncheon vouchers. Janharper are you sure you are talking about the same company because my friend at work also still gets luncheon vouchers? |
