Being somebody who doesn't actually eat out very often but does like the odd take away on special occasions etc I thought pizzahut.co.uk would be a brilliant idea. Especially as I really do like pizza and I do like pizza hut anyway, so there shouldn't be any problems right?

Well the site itself is easy to navigate and easy on the eye being all white with the odd splash of red and the menu to view in stages. You type in your postcode and choose whether you want to order for later on, order for delivery ASAP or order for collection. You are then taken to the menu pages where you can choose a pizza. Choosing your preferred pizza base, the topping selections already provided or you can create your own and the size of your chosen pizza from whatever sizes are available. Easy so far.

Would you like a pasta? Well there are just 3 pastas to choose from online, but you can either have family size which is suitable for 4 people, or a pasta for one, which of course is cheaper.

By the way the prices of what you are ordering are situated on the side of each item, and as you add items to your list your price updates.

You can then choose from sides such as Garlic Cheesy Bread, Side Salad, Cheesy Nachos - you can also use the drop down arrow to determine how many you are actually ordering. So if you just want to order one side salad then just click on number 1 when you use the drop down arrow. Of course if you don't want to order any then leave the space as is.

Dips - You can choose from the selection of dips and choose how many of each flavour you would like.

Last but not least you can order from the Desserts and Drinks section, a variety of ice creams and at the moment warm cookie dough to with vanilla ice cream or a bottle of Pepsi, 7-Up, Tango etc.

Once you have chosen what you would like to order and you are happy with the price you continue to checkout to pay. Now if you are spending less than £20 you can pay by cash on your door, but anything over £20 you do need to pay by credit or debit card online. I havn't actually spent over £20 so don't know what the service is like if you pay by card, instead I have paid by cash everytime and service has been good apart from once, which I will tell you about shortly. Once you have chosen your payment method you then have to fill out your details, such as name, address and any specific details for the delivery driver such as 'ring doorbell 3 times'. You do have to provide an email address so they can send you your order confirmation, and you need to choose a password. But then next time you order all you need to do is put in your email and password and your details are already kept.

I have been lucky in the fact I done my research and have managed to get voucher codes for 50% off, which is why I've never spent over £20.

Now from my personal experience I have not had any problems apart from once. I ordered with my meal the dessert Warm Cookie Dough and Vanilla Ice Cream, and for some reason they hadn't brought me my ice cream! I didn't kick up a fuss, but I know next time to make sure I keep my email confirmation of the order in case anything else is forgotten. Since then mind I have had no problems.

By ordering online it is quick, probably lazy, convenient if you can't get out though like me as I'm on my own with my boys. You are able to avoid queues and seating waits, you can also choose what you want to eat without any pressure to hurry up and decide from waiters/waitresses because they are so busy. So quite an advantage to ordering your meal online.

I do reccomend this website if you are looking to have a pizza for a takeaway as it is really simple to use and understand and you get a brilliant, tasty meal at the end of it!
