I have recently joined www.plentyoffish.com, a FREE dating site. I never joined it as I'm looking to date anybody I just get bored easily and thought it would be a good way to chat to others, espcially as I love to meet new people.

Plentyoffish is easy to join just having to register a few details, including your email address so they can email you with notifications as to when somebody has messaged you or when there are new matches for you. Upon joining you have your own profile, you can choose what you want to put on your profile, as I know some people don't like to put alot of personal details. You also don't have to upload pictures of yourself if you don't want to, although the site reminds you that more people will view your profile if you do have a photo. I mean we all want to know who we are talking to right? Or at least who we think we're talking to.
So on your profile when you join you can put the city you live, your star sign, your age, your ethnicity, whether you a smoker or not, your body type, your religion, what you are seeking (man, woman), what you are seeking men/women for, for example 'hang out' or 'dating', whether you drink, your marital status, profession, whether you want children, whether you do drugs, whether you have children already, whether you have a car and then theres a lovely big box where you can talk higly of yourself and let people know whatever you like about you. Underneath that is another box which allows you to type your perfect date.

Now all of this you don't have to fill in, there are options to choose from in some areas, for example Body type you can choose from Average, Thin, Athletic or Prefer Not to Say if you don't want people to know.

There is no catch, yes this site is totally free, free to search for what you're looking for, free to chat to people, free to send and recieve mail, like i said completely FREE!

You can search for exactly who you may want to talk also, when you click search to look for somebody to chat to you have many options to choose from, the details you put in are.. whether you are male or female, seeking a male or female, Age between .. and ..., whether you want the profiles you view to have images or not, what you are searching people for Hang out/Talk/Dating, you can sort the users by when they last visited the site or the newest users to join the site, what ethnicity you are looking for you can either choose one particular one or All, which country you want them to be in and city, roughly how far away from you for example Within 5 Miles of the city you choose. After filling in them simple details you can click on search and a list of people will appear and you have the option of messaging them if they seem like your type of person.

All seems a bit cheesy doesn't it a dating site, but i've actually made a few online friends on here, obviously some people are not into this sort of thing, but for the people who are go ahead and join because remember its FREE!
