Poetry.com is a perfect site for anyone who loves writing, reading poetry. The site features over 4.6 million poets. You can search poems for whatever occasion that you feel like. The results are really good and there is some really quality pieces of poetry to be found.

If you fancy yourself as a poet you can enter the poetry competition. Read other winners submissions and see if you can do better. They also have the 100 Greatest Poems ever written. It would be nice to get yourself into that list.

How can you get your poems posted on the website?
Everyone who submits a poem to one of the monthly contests online is immediately published on the web site. All poems entered by mail will be posted within 6 to 8 weeks. After your poem is posted on the site, you will be able to view your poem at any time simply by searching for your name.

You will also be able to edit your poem, record your own voice on the page your poem appears, send greeting cards featuring your poem, order products featuring your poem, etc.

Your poem will only be published in their hardbound anthology series and judged in our contest once the Editorial Board formally accepts it. This usually takes several weeks because of the volume of entries we receive. You will be notified by mail if you are chosen as a semi-finalist and if you are selected for publication.

The service is free with no charge for the service. You Can also record your poem online so other people can hear you reading it online. There are other things on the site relating to poetry you can even send cards with your poem on.

The site is well organised and easy to navigate. I haven?t submitted a poem yet but I am working on it. I have friends who have used this site and they have found it to be extremely good. You can also get help from the site with rhyming or just writing your poem.

Overall a very commendable site and if you are into poetry well worth visiting.
