Popex has a become a weekly addiction for me and my pop-obsessed friends. With £40,000 in my bank I am by far the richest but am only showing a weekly growth of around 5% at thne moment, whereas the other upstarts are hitting 10%. I found this site about two weeks ago, well my friend told me about it, and I have been using it everyday since then. I'm not sure if this is in the right category, but I couldn't find the one I wanted, so this will have to do!! Anyway what I am giving my opinion on is a great site I have found,(Actually my son found it - thanks Nicky!) Popex is all about buying and selling shares in pop music, well it's not actually the music but the artists. Whether or not your into buying and selling shares you'll love this, you don't use real money, nor do you gain real money, you don't even win anything! Popex.com is an interesting idea. You get five thousand of your (virtual) Earth pounds to invest in pop groups, and the value of that investment fluctuates according to how many people are buying or selling those shares. "Dividends" are also paid weekly to your account, according to your acts' performance in real life, and if you recruit other people you get a (small) percentage of their divi as well.
