“ PriceMinister's ethos in one sentence: Buying and selling just got safer! „
They are a terrible company to deal with when things go wrong.
First of all they will debit your card irrespective of whether the seller has the item in stock. If you dont recieve this item or you recieve a wrong item, you are left to mail Price Master (You cannot phone). They will ignore your mails or on the rare occasions they do reply, they will give you no information and just keep fobbing you off. They seem to have the policy of if they ignore you you'll go away.
They will not cancel your order if an item is out of stock, in fact they wont even admit its out of stock when the listing has been taken down, and you just have to wait indefinitely for it to be delivered.
If by some miracle you do get a refund, they will put it into their 'E Wallet'.... which is effectively a credit note to purchase stuff on Price Minister. You are left with another fight to get the funds back on your card. I've had to let my credit company deal with it.
Avoid this company at all costs.... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Test out first with a few cheap purchases. I spent £32 (10) yes, TEN DAYS no goods,no info from the sellers. Compaired with the largest auction site, Priceminister is a nightmare
I've happily done most of my shopping online for more than 10 years, but I will not be using Priceminister again. I ordered a book as a gift that was unavailable on Amazon 2 weeks before Christmas. The company that should have dispatched it would not respond to more than 5 enquiries to let me know if they had ever dispatched the book, though the money left my bank account immediately. Many weeks and many more enquiries later, my purchase never arrived, I still don't know if it was ever dispatched and I still haven't been refunded. After an arduous and drawn out correspondence it seems my money will be refunded to my Priceminister "eWallet", though it's not arrived there yet, and since I never want to use them again, I then will need to fight with their system to get the money refunded to my bank account. In more than 12 years of internet shopping I have never experienced anything nearly as bad as this.
I found out about PriceMinister a couple of weeks ago, through a Parisian friend of mine. Yep, their original site is French, hence the funny name, lol. It appeared they launched the UK version last year, and I was lucky enough to be given a welcome discount voucher worth £5 off.
I started searching for an item to get - and I have to say their search engine in good, in addition to the navigation inside each category of products which proves very clear but sometimes incomplete - and I ended up buying all five Spongebob Squarepants dvd seasons, as they were like £10 each, P&P included! I really don't think I could have found any cheapest offer on the web.
The transaction went smoothly ( you order your desired items, PriceMinister holds your money while the seller confirms they are still selling them and a few days later it is you who - by rating the seller - get them to be paid). I had no problems whatsoever, but judging by the thickness of the assistance section I guess you could easily get a helping hand.
To sum it up i really felt the site deserved a little more publicity, since it has great bargains to offer.
When I was given a £5 off code for Price Minister and although I had never heard of the store thought it was worth a look.
What is price minister?
It is an online store that works very similar to the market place at Amazon .The great thing about this site is that it is free postage and so you understand the price right from the beginning.
What does Price minister sell?
It has ever expanding categories which are: books, music, DVD blue ray and VHS, video games, phones and PDA, computing, electronics, sports and leisure, fashion and finally toys and games. It does sell both new and used items.
I do find searching on this site easy and although it is growing so more items are been added all the time it doesn't have such an extensive range as Amazon.
Selling on price minister
You can also sell your own items. They do give free listing but do take a commission on a sale this does depend upon the cost of the item. I have no experience but you can also get £1 through Quidco for listing your first item.
I was quite impressed with the range of items and after spending a long time debating between various l items I finally settled on buying a ratatouille Wii game for my son which was £11 with my £5 voucher and so it was only going to cost me a £6 so completed my order though sadly a week later I received an email stating that this Item was no longer available at the price.
I then had another browse through the site and found a return to never land DVD for £8.31 brand new which as my son is watching peter pan every day currently I felt it would be a great idea for Christmas. I had since learnt also that you could get £5 cash back on Quidco and top cash back for your first order so went ahead and ordered it and kept my fingers crossed it would arrive. It arrived as described a few days later. It was well packaged and in new sealed condition as stated.
Although my first order didn't go through and would have liked to have known this sooner rather than later I am generally very satisfied and will be purchasing from them again.
The offer was originally £5 off any order but since they have changed the rules to £5 off a £10 which I still consider to be a great offer.
They now do a referral scheme and anyone can refer a friend both the referrer and the invited get a £5 discount on a £10 order.
This appears to be growing site that I shall have a browse through when looking for books, CD's or DVD's
for more information see www.priceminister.co.uk
With Christmas approaching I am starting to think about buying gifts, and I do like to browse online as there are some great websites out there where you can do your Christmas shopping with the added bonus of not having to leave the house!
I was recently told about PriceMinister.co.uk and decided to take a look.
WHAT IS PRICEMINISTER.CO.UK?
PriceMinister.co.uk is an online store which on first taking a look I believe looks a little like Amazon or Play.com.
It offers a range of Books, DVD's music, video games and toys, as well as electrical items and fashion.
Not only can you buy from PriceMinister, you can also sell your stuff.
If you use the site to sell, then you are offered free listing, fixed prices and no time limit.
BROWSING AND USING PRICEMINISTER
PriceMinister is very easy to use and is well laid out. Just like Amazon, it has easy to use sections such as Books, Video Games, DVD's etc. Clicking on the tabs along the top of the page will give you a drop down menu of sub-sections to help refine your search.
Alternatively, you can use the search bar provided if you know exactly what you are looking for, just type it in.
There is a huge range of products on the site, both brand new and also items sold by sellers. You can create a wish list to store items you are interested in and come back to it later.
You will have to create an account to buy from PriceMinister but this is an easy process and registering will only take you a couple of minutes.
Easy help sections are provided to give you all the relevant information you need to order, and also how to sell your items. A comprehensive FAQ section is there to assist you and you can also contact the site direct.
Free standard UK delivery is available on all new products, which is fantastic, and also should you decide to buy from a private seller here then you are guaranteed to get your money back should you not receive your item.
If you decide to use the site to sell your items, then you are offered free listing, fixed prices and no time limit. It is also possible to use money you make from selling items to pay for purchases, by storing your money in the e-Wallet provided.
I have not sold anything on PriceMinister yet so my experience so far is as a customer only. I have recently received my first order from PriceMinister and I am very happy with my purchase and service received.
I was looking for a particular book, and was pleased to find it available brand new priced at £6.36 which was cheaper than the RRP, so decided to order it.
I must point out here that PriceMinister are currently offering £5.00 off your first order, and you receive this discount by entering the code 'AFFWELCOME5' in the box provided when you go to pay for your item. This reduced my order balance immediately to £1.36 which I paid with my bank card. So my book cost me only £1.36 - a bargain!
ALSO - it is worth mentioning that if you are a member of or join a cashback site such as Topcashback or Quidco then they are both offering £5.00 cashback on your first order from PriceMinister.
So my book has been an even better bargain, as I have also received £5.00 cashback, which effectively means my book is free and I have received money also!
After placing my order, I received a confirmation email right away, and my book arrived a few days later, which given the recent Royal Mail strike action, was quite good.
The book arrived well packed in a jiffy bag.
I have since been back to the site this week and placed a further order as I have found something I want which is cheaper there than anywhere else I have looked, and with free postage you can't go wrong.
I can recommend PriceMinister.co.uk as an alternative to Amazon and Play.com. It is not as large as Amazon, but it's certainly worth taking a look when doing your Christmas shopping.
There is also an 'invite a friend' section where you can earn yourself £5 each time one of your friends becomes a customer which is worth bearing in mind.
Don't forget to use the code above to get £5 off your order and also make your transaction through a cashback site and you've got yourself a great bargain, which at this time of year is fantastic and ensures this site is getting 5 Dooyoo stars from me!
Price Minister is suppose to be very similar to Amazon Marketplace so I gave it a go. Everyone on Dooyoo who has not shopped on here take a notice of this code "AFFWELCOME5" this gives you 5 pound of your first shop on the website!
You could spend 5.01 and only pay a penny for your first purchase! However it gets better if you have a topcashback account and go through there you get 5 pound cashback for your first shop on the site. So basically you will get 5 pound cashback, 5 pound items for free and just pay a penny for your first purchase on the site if you follow my way that is.
I went to Price Minister to look around to see what they had. They do not have much items like Ebay does but they certainly look a way lot better than the likes of Ebid to be honest. I like the design of the website its very nice and simply laid out making it easy for the customers here to decide what they want to buy.
The prices for the DVD's on here were cheap I remember seeing some HD DVD's brand new on sale for just 1.98! I added 3 of them to my basket so the total came to about 5.94 I paid with my card and only had 94p to pay because of the first purchase voucher code. I got 3 HD dvds for 94p bargain and also Topcashback gave me 5 pounds cashback for my first shop on the site!
My opinions? Everyone on Dooyoo got get some free dvds or used the fiver voucher to get a bargain! The sellers on the website have turned out to be reliable for me so I would recommend using this site as they are a growing site. You can also sell on Price Minister but they do have a 15 percent fee like Ebay. They do have DVD's at cheap prices it has to be said though! I would recommend using them right now to use the free five pound code!
