We needed to find a printing company to print eight A1 sized prints on foamboard, and decided to check here... only to be disappointed in the end.
The website is easy to navigate, despite an initial virus alert warning, which got me slightly suspicious of the safety of my computer whilst browsing, but nonetheless took the plunge to surf it... We were able to use the search facility to find the product we were looking for, and the quoted price.
We sent an email to the nearest branch, and received a very quick response. This was due to a vague pricing we found on their site, which was not at all clear what the price was. They charged £27 per print, and did not specify if buying in bulk gave us a discount and whether these multiple prints had to be the same or not...
Anyway, having had our questions resolved we popped into a local branch to see the quality of the outcome.
Having seen examples at the branch, the quality is quite good, it can give a range of finishes, and the one we wanted was a matt satin finish, which looked good on the sample.
They said that prints could be done in a couple of days, and could be collected or delivered (with a charge).
The price we were quoted for the prints was around £300, but at the branch where we wanted to purchase, they claimed it wasn't counting VAT, which meant PLUS VAT it shot way above £500, which was over our budget. This was AFTER we convinced the man to get rid of delivery costs, each board costing £20 to deliver which is absolutely ridiculous; and he insisted we pay that day or we won't make the deadline. Avoiding this psycological sales battle, we left, despite being on a deadline, leaving us feeling stressed and anxious.
Printing.com which is an online printing website, which also have local branches offers a range of printing facilities, from posters to leaflets to business cards. The finish of the products are indeed of a high quality and can be done in a short space of time. However, the price is not at all warranted, and I can gurantee you another company can do it for you cheaper. In the end, we used Prontaprint, which only cost us £300 for the whole job, and he got printing the day I handed the files over, giving us more than a few days grace period!
