Advantages: nicely laid out site
Disadvantages: very few surveys
I signed up to pureprofile.com around 18months ago after reading a review on Ciao a bout how wonderful the site is as you get loads of surveys so earning money from the site is quite easy, so here are my thoughts
The site
-----------
Pureprofile is an Australian survey site, which does have the benefit of paying you a small fee for simply visiting the survey and getting paid more money for completing the survey. I have found the surveys that I have actually completed to be quite interesting.
After completing any surveys that are waiting for you, you are presented with a monthly topic , which after answering is displayed on your account the next month. This is all controlled by a next button, if you dont want to see something on your account simply clicking this next button takes you past this. However some of the topics are native to the Australian market, so are unapplicable to ourselves.
Within the website you can update your profile. This is quite a nice site, with a nice layout.
The sign up process
---------------------------
This was extremley boring and time consuming as you answer questions from 20 different areas each containing around 5/6 questions. I can remember when I did this been asked questions about which brand of coffee I drink for example. However i have never seen a coffee survey, so I dont see the relevance of some of the questions.
Friend referral
-------------------
The friend referral part of the site is actually one of the better features of this organisation as you get paid $1 per every $5 that your friend earns. This is limited to $5 per referral. So you can earn roughly £2.50 from each friend who signs up to this. You can also put a link on a website and anyone who signs up to this via clicking on your webpage is classed as a friend.
Is it worth it?
-----------------
In my opinion no. This is the worst of the sites I have signed up to on the internet. I have been a member for 18months and have only made £10. You need to get £25 before reaching a pay out. This is apparently done via BAC's but I dont know the speed etc at which this is done yet, but hopefully it will be quicker then the time it will take me to get to this figure.
I do however find that this site sends email notifications of surveys, the frequency of these emails is very sporadic and the surveys are often open for a certain time limit. I am now trying to login to the site more to see if I can more surveys that way and it did work today as a 50p survey was there to be completed, but i do think that I will get to the magic £25 mark and will claim my money and leave this site.
Summary: a disappointing survey site
