Advantages: Easy to use, lots of retailers

Disadvantages: Can take a while for cashback to be credited

Quidco is a cashback site. I joined as I thought why not, afterall if I'm going to buy something I may as well get something back from it. It's easy to sign up, but then you need to leave cookies enabled on your web browser so I got a seperate browser just for quidco on my PC.
Basically to get the cashback after signing up and making sure your details are correct you go through quidcos list of retailers and hen click on the link you want. It tells you how much you will get. This can be a fixed amount of cash e.g £40 for a new mobile contract or a percentage of what you hav bought from a site. You pay to the retailer and then quidco puts the percentage or amount of cashback into your bank through bacs or puts it on your paypal account.
There are thousands of different retailers which pretty much cover anything you would want to buy. Just make sure you don't choose something with a large amount of cashback if overall you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
The cashback can take a while to creited to you, last one I did took a month buying from littlewoods. Quidco charges a small amount £5 per year - but you would probaly cover it easily with one cashback transaction.

Summary: Why not get money back off something you were going to buy anyway?
