Advantages: Cashback on your purchases

Disadvantages: Can take a while for the money to be paid

There are many of these sites around, but I belong just to this one as it seems to give the better cashback rates. I have been a member of Quidco for a couple of years, since I was introduced to it by a colleague at work, since then I have earned nearly £600 in cashback. If I want to buy something, I check to see if the company is on Quidco, if it is I access the company website via the Quidco link, and start to earn cashback. So many High Street retailers are there, HMV, M&S, Argos, etc....

When you think that this is generally earned on money that I was going to spend anyway, it is 'money for nothing'. The better deals tend to be on Finance products, such as Insurance (I got my Home and Contents insurance down from a renewal of £250 to a new policy for £72 after the cashback) and Credit Cards. We have also used the site twice when booking holidays for a total saving of over £150.

There are also introdutions to Bookmakers' websites, which, if you are careful, will pay you back more than you have to pay into them. Last year I joined three of them, putting in £30 of my own money to place bets. Luckily I won, including on the Grand National, so received £60 in cashback plus over £50 of winnings.

There are also websites that will pay you for visiting, such as the insurance comparison websites - do a quote and they will pay you up to £2, not much agreed, but not bad for 10 minutes of your time. (Be warned, if you use, say, Go Compare to get insurance quotes and then use Quidco to visit the companies that have been quoted to you, you will probably miss out on the cashback as the insuarance company will not recognise Quidco as the introductory website. One way round this is to use a neighbours details for the comparison!)

Their £5 annual fee is taken from earnings, so if you don't earn any cashback, you don't pay a fee. Some earnings will not come through, but generally you can query them and they will get added. So far no major bad experiences.

Also, it comes over as a friendly website, that actually cares about its members!

Summary: Excellent website, used as much as possible!
