I couldn't qype believe it - £50 vouchers and an ipod (qype.co.uk)

Advantages: Great incentives which were received quickly, lots of places to review, only short reviews needed

Disadvantages: Not so much of a community feel like Dooyoo has

I discovered Qype through the Martin Lewis moneysaver forum which is the same place that I found out about Dooyoo. It is a review site that reviews places, for example shops, restaurants, nightclubs, shopping centres and businesses in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

The reviews do not have to be long, around 100 words is fine and you have to give them a star rating, much the same as Dooyoo. The main difference between the two sites is that the community feel on Dooyoo is much more apparant. With Qype, you can add people to your friend list and you can rate people's reviews, but there is not as much of that on Qype and it is not really part of what is expected as a member, so the community feel is not as strong.

The site is easy to navigate though. You can search for a particular buisness or town and it will give you give you all the search matches for you to review and tells you how many reviews each place has received.

For each review, you receive points and these add up so that when you have 250 points you become an "insider" anc can apply for the goody bag of a mug, T Shirt and sweets,500 points you cam apply for the frisbee and USB stick and at 1000 points you become a ninja which is the highest status and can then apply for the free ipod shuffle and ninja cuddly toy.

You get 8 points per review, but if you are the first to write a review on a place then you get 20 points. They are also extra points for referring friends or adding photos or videos.

When I joined the site in November, there was an incentive that if you did 50 reviews in a certain time scale (it was a few weeks) you could claim £50 Amazon vouchers. I completed my reviews in time and received my £50 Amazon vouchers within 48 hours. I was extremely pleased. I am just waiting for my I pod shuffle now which will be an added bonus.

This incentive has now finished, but the site promises new and exciting incentives for 2009 so keep an eye on the site and see what it has to offer. The reviews are easy to do and the incentives are great. It was very little work for £50 vouchers and hopefully an ipod shuffle, and there are loads of local and national places to review, even places like your local McDonalds or Subway are bound to be on there.

Just a little update - I received e-mails today to say all of my goodies have been despatched including the Ninja goodies which is the ipod! Can't wait to receive it. I've already got an ipod, but an ipod shuffle for free can't be a bad thing.
