Racing Frogs is a quirky little site I discovered around 3 years ago on someones top ten websites list (don't ask me who.. it was a long time ago!). When you visit the website you have to sign up and create a password. you can then choose from 3 'ponds', it doesn't really matter which one you choose as they are all basically the same. For quite a while I used to play on www.racingfrogs.org. It was my friend who introduced it to me, and I must say - I'm pleased she did! Like a lot of things in life, racing frogs is a competitive game. You have to create a frog once you have signed up, which is not complicated at all, and you can choose an ordinary frog, or kit it out with goofy teeth, clothes and googley eyes! You have to feed your frog every day, and give them a session at the gym. This all costs gold, but you gain gold every time your frog runs in a race - this is everynight, and the position you come in benefits your gold fund! You can treat your frog too, with ... Consequently, I am always obliging to try anything that satisfies both needs for me - whether it is serious or not. A couple of years ago, a friend introduced me to a very quirky and fun website that satisfies the latter. On www.racingfrogs.org, you create and manage a frog to race against other frogs owned by online gamers. The idea is very fun and the science sounds simple enough, but it is far more complex than you'd perceive. The Premise ++++++++++++ The premise is akin to being a horse trainer ... Racing Frogs is a great site, no doubt about it. I've been playing the game for over 5 years so you can tell how much it has captured my imagination! You need to train your frog and keep on training until it reaches 240 days of age (3 forg days to every 1 human day). As you work your way through several generations of frog, you will be rewarded with more and more cash and a better chance of eventually winning superfrog. There are also several compititions throughout the year, which are well worth entering as there are some cracking prizes up for grabs. The website is very well designed and intuative to use. Racing frogs? What are you ribbiting on about I hear you say. Well for the animal lovers amongst you fear not, these are not real frogs but frogs on the internet. Essentially this is a frog management game. For those of you who have already read my Hattrick and Battrick reviews, and may be wondering if all I do is play on-line management games then the answer is this is my last one for a while. Also in response to a comment I have received I’ve not yet heard of a Tour-de-France style management game where you give your team performance enhancing drugs, have to take ad-hoc urine tests or fall over French animals that wander randomly into the road.
