Advantages: Free, decent choice of music, no annoying talkovers all the time like local radio

Disadvantages: cuts out sometimes, seems to have problems if youre downloading pages with javascript on

I'm listening to it as I write this - it's fairly good quality, plenty of different syles of music to suit all tastes, and SURPRISINGLY there isn't as much verbal advertising as you'd expect. There is a little "sponsored
by " ad on the radio bar and maybe less than a minute of verbal ads every 15 mins. The music itself is remamrkably up to date!
I've had a few minor problems, during this - their changeover period - but they do tell you to expect this on their main page. Mainly where it just goes silent. Also, I've noticed it messes up sometimes if you're downloading something that contains javascript, but hey, this is for free and they're paying you! What's to complain about?

I like the idea of the 20c an hour for listening, up to a max of 100 hours per month, plus they pay to 4 levels for your referrals, so the possibility is there of getting a nice little bonus cheque on a regular basis. Since working on the computer is a somewhat solitary existence, this has proved to be a nice little companion for me. I do tend to leave it on when I go off and do housework, just as if it was a regular radio. I guess I use it like a regular radio - but being in the US I'm also not paying local phone time, so that has to be a consideration in England for home pc users. But like the other reviewers advocate, if you are in a work situation using the internet, put this on in the background and minimize the radio bar.
It is something for nothing, but the advertisers are the ones who pay for us to listen, as in any other media. RadioFreeCash just got wise as to the power of the internet and have got in at the beginning with another good idea.

That way I'll get the credit for switching you on to some of the best music on the net.

Summary: Decent music and paid to listen
